As you may notice from the time stamp on the bottom of the page, I'm up a little earlier than normal. It's 5:45 am to be exact. The kicker is, I've been awake for 2 hours & 45 minutes already. A rare bout of insomnia that makes me wish for any style of home other than the ranch that I live in. If we had a home with floors, I could be doing laundry or scrap booking in the basement, running the dishwasher on the ground level, cleaning bathrooms while my family slept, or at least pretended to do something industrious. Instead I've made pitchers of iced tea, lemonade, and apple juice, watched Early Today, and Conan O'Brien re-runs. With 5 other people snoozing peacefully in our 1,590 square feet, I'm afraid to do anything louder than type.
So here I am contemplating my soon to be 3 year bloggiversary. Three years?! Three years of what? Inane drivel? Pointless mutterings? Fascinating insight? I'll let you be the judge of that.
Now, as my family lingers in dream land, I will give you links to some (in my opinion) interesting things from the past 3 years here at Memoirs of a FarmWife or the blog formerly known as Confessions of a City Gal.
A day of Fighting, Feathers, and a Sucker Punch to the Family Jewels (January 11, 2006).
A brief stumble down memory lane with the oldest of the FarmHands (January 20, 2006).
National Urination Day is introduced...and becomes a week long holiday (January 25 & 26, 2006).
The time I read the riot act to a television station, a human rights organization, and half the free world...and got a wonderful response (December 2007).
The time I blogged in a hotel lobby in my pj's at odd hours of the morning.
The day I spent hating all car salesmen & called myself a grown A** woman.
The time a telemarketer got the better/worse of me.
When B.B. opened his own nail salon in the bathroom.
That should do for now. If you made it through all those, you deserve a cookie!
If you happen to have a favorite post of mine, please, let me know!
