Bad News: BabyGirl has to have three fillings & sealants applied to two other teeth. The dental hygienist seemed a bit confused as to how these were missed at her last appointment (at a different dentists office). I'm a bit confused myself as the other doctor told me her teeth were perfect.
This news instigated The Great Dentist Hunt of 2009 part 2. We have a hard time finding a dentist that will take our secondary insurance. On x-rays, cleanings, and check-ups, it's no big deal. Our dental insurance covers that 100%. The rest is only covered 80%, so having the secondary is a big help. I thought the place we take B.B. would take her under the same conditions, but it turns out they can't accept our secondary insurance so they have to write off whatever our primary doesn't cover. They never explained that to me.
I finally found one....the first one B.B. saw when he flat refused to let anyone look in his mouth. So that's done & out of the way. Now I just have to get the x-rays sent over (unlike the other practice that has to have it's own set of x-rays).
Good News: #1 Son's teeth are just fine. Thank goodness!
Great News: Inkling, Henry David, and Grasshopper are boarding a plane in the morning to head to the land of the Red, White, and Blue! I'm on a countdown. 12 days (I think) until I get to meet Grasshopper in the flesh! Please pray for them as they have a 3 hour drive, & a cross country flight with a certain small person who's fond of pooping out the back of his diaper in massive ways (see, my blog always gets back to poop).
Now if only I could drag my butt out of this funk I'm currently lingering in. Maybe I stayed up too late last night (I couldn't sleep) and got up too early for our trip to the dentist, or maybe the adventuring of yesterday was too much for this homebody to handle, or maybe I'm physically manifesting my feelings about BabyGirl's impending dental work, or maybe I'm morphing into a slug, but I cannot work up any gumption today. I took a decent nap just before Husband left for work & now I'm trying hard to convince myself to dress the babies & meet the big kids at the bus stop for a walk or a romp in the yard.

Dental excursions always take a lot out of me. I think it's because I harbor a lot of dislike for the dentist and then project it onto my boys... That and picture days are among my top 5 worst days to look forward to.
