A brief musical interlude

Ha-llelujah! Ha-llelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hal-le-lujah! (Can't you just hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir belting out Handel? I once sang Handel's Messiah with my boyfriend & a few other close friends at the Mormon Stake to the north of where I lived as a teenager. The man who directed us told us the story of George Handel in installments every week at practice. He always began his tale with, "When we last left George...." It was fascinating. And there is nothing that quite compares to singing that fantastic music while accompanied by a small orchestra....it was amazing!)

So, what has brought on this musical interlude & brief trip back through time? My fever broke in the night. As I lay in bed, drenched in sweat, wishing I could just get it over with & die, I had no clue I'd wake refreshed & ready to meet the day....for the first time in almost 2 weeks. It's fabulous to feel good. I may even get my house cleaned today instead of swiping at the dirt & giving up from sheer exhaustion.

At the moment I'm "being Patrick & SpongeBob looking at a treasure map" while B.B. is Mr.Krabs snatches it away & yells at me for taking the map. His games are rather interesting. Last night his big Incredible Hulk toy was "the dad in the game" while #1 Son's smaller Incredible Hulk toy was "the pre-k'er in the game" and BabyGirl's Hannah Montana doll was "the mom in the game." What a family that made. Two large green men with anger issues & an identity confused pop queen.

I washed all Bitsy's new clothes from Art's Niece, Pumpkin, last night. In the bags was an adorable little sweater with a matching beanie. As soon as the hat came out of the wash, I put it on Bitsy's head (too cute!!). She wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but in a few minutes she decided it was a wonderful game. On, off, on, off, on, off....I thought she'd end up sleeping in it, but she decided to take it off before bed.

Today is B.B.'s fourth birthday! I cannot believe my boy is 4. I've just gotten used to the idea of him being 3. It seems very odd. We had his cake & presents on Saturday since it's the only day everyone's home. I would write about his birth, but I've already done that. Here and here. Happy birthday, wild man. We love you so very much. You bring adventure to our hum-drum lives every day!!

Happy Birthday B.B.!!!!! When did you get to be such a big man? Seriously...it seems like yesterday that your Mama called me to tell me you'd been born!

Keep being imaginative and fun, and don't let your Mama and Daddy blame you for their gray hair!

Ah yes, yesterday my littlest pig was 4 and today he is 10. You wouldn't believe the detail of stuff I know now about all four episodes of Star Wars! My name is not Barrack Obama and I do not endorse this post.
