Glimmer

That's what I'm seeing at the end of this long, dark tunnel. A glimmer of light in the darkness. It's faint, but it's growing steadily brighter. I am determined that it shall not grow dim.

Diaper rash is notably better this morning. No one is suffering from illness of any sort. There are only two doses of antibiotic left to administer. School is back in session on Monday. This week is nearly over. I have a small stock of Coffee-Mate creamers in the fridge. Our Christmas tree is naked & waiting to be disassembled. There are few decorations needing to be packed away. My house is still a mess, but I am no longer panicked about it. We have only one puppy to sell (did I mention Bonpas had her first litter 2 months ago?). There is nothing that has to be done today (with the exception of some tiny laundry) and no where to go. Life is tranquil...at the moment.

I realize we're 5 days into the new year, but I guess it's time to make a resolution. I resolve to make no resolutions this year. I will simply do my best to do what must be done. Yearly resolutions are a platform for failure for me. I will not set myself up for a fall. If I make resolutions they will be daily, not yearly. I will resolve today to be a good mother...or better I will resolve this hour to be more patient...I will resolve this minute to be a better person.

BabyGirl wrapped her tiny tooth into an old hankie of mine last night & tucked it into the Tooth Fairy pillow Aunt Silverbelle made for me when I was a girl. On the pillow she cross-stitched: Tooth Fairy, Tooth Fairy, please be kind.
In this pocket my tooth you'll find.
Take it out and leave for me,
a nickle, a dime, or maybe three.
All my teeth were tucked in it, and as soon as hers fell out, BabyGirl pulled it out to use. This morning she was thrilled to find a Sacajawea gold dollar. That tooth fairy rocks!

Wowie! Remind me to call YOUR tooth fairy when we get there!

I'm SO glad things are looking up for you, and I know that you WILL continue to persevere, and MORE, you will triumph each day over the battles you face.

All our decorations are down, and what house is not currently covered in Legos is CLEAN! I'm cheering you on from here, and remember...Monday is coming, and you'll be back to a routine with one kiddo less!
