The often overlooked pros of child labor.

Yesterday we went to Uncle E's to visit for a bit after Husband left for work. Bitsy & RL are best friends & we can't go very long without taking Bitsy to see her "Ray-ray." The kids went out to jump on the trampoline with J while Bitsy & I hung out with Beffie & Ray-ray in the house. When Uncle E & Aunt C came home from work, Uncle E put the FarmHands to work helping level out a huge pile of sand they had to put their pool up on.

Once that was done, we all pitched in to help assemble the 15' x 4' swimming pool. It was the most fun I've ever had doing something like that. The FarmHands fetched & carried & collected the trash. Bitsy tried to bury the plastic pegs that hold the frame together in the sand under the pool. We laughed & teased & worked & in the end, the pool was assembled & the water turned on.

Then the FarmHands helped J dig up the old water hydrant because it had to be replaced. We ate pizza & headed home around 8:30 last night. After their baths, the FarmHands collapsed in their beds & did not wake up until after 7:30 this morning. Bitsy slept until 8!

I'm telling you, forced child labor is so underrated!

Yep, we had my daughter walking my sister's dog all weekend. They were both exhausted!
