For the record, I can play chess. I know how all the pieces move. I cannot play chess. I have no head for strategy. Much like AreYouKiddingMe. This is why I would never make it on Survivor....that & the rice. After 6 weeks on an island living on rice, I'd weigh about 8 pounds.
I shall send you all flair. I adore flair. I remember wearing many many buttons very similar to the ones on my cork board when I was in Jr High. Flair is good.
Bitsy is currently stomping across the hearth in red cow boy boots 3 1/2 sizes too big for her. She's getting a runny nose (yeah us) and refuses to give up the boots. She tramps through the house shouting, "Boot-boot!" Everything is said in twos. Duck-duck. Bath-bath. Boot-Boot. Everything except Pa. Pa!
B.B. is watching Wall-E for the fourth time in two days. It's funny. I think I'm ready to watch something new.
I just finished reading In the Shadow of Lions by Ginger Garrett. QM brought it up for me. I think I finished it in two days. It's about Anne Boleyn. I am a huge Anne Boleyn junkie. Can't exactly say "buff" as I'm not much into research, but I do really find her fascinating. This book cast her in an entirely new light. No longer the manipulative creature who seduced a king & overturned the Church to benefit herself. Instead, a devout young woman truly trying to be obedient to the Lord. I would highly suggest it for anyone interested in historical fiction or anyone interested in Henry, his wives, Sir Thomas More, or William Tyndale.
My pfefferneuse dough is languishing in the refrigerator. I am resisting the temptation to bake them now. They need time for the spices to blend. BabyGirl asked if we could bake cookies on Saturday. I told her maybe we'd make Gingerbread men. Then I have to attempt to refrain from eating my weight in them.
I think Saturday will also be Christmas tree day. I've learned the hard way not to put it up right after Thanksgiving. By the time we get presents unwrapped, I'm ready to pack everything away.
Maybe I'll make the first batch of Chex Mix of the season as well & get Christmas going around here!

When do you find time to read...cook...clean. Seriously, it sounds like you are very busy.
I love to read and will add that one to my list.
OOOOHHHH...you should check out Phillippa Gregory - she wrote "The Other Boleyn Girl" and a host of others about the same time frame...
Good books, good reads...a little steamy in parts, but hey, what can you do? It isn't as though Kings and Princes are sprung from a cabbage patch...
And good girl for not baking the cookies yet...
