Tomorrow is Thanksgiving (in case you didn't notice). BabyGirl informed me that means it's the fourth Thursday of November. She is a veritable fount of knowledge these days. Did you know that the woman responsible for influencing Abraham Lincoln to make Thanksgiving a national holiday is the same woman who wrote Mary Had a Little Lamb? True. I learned that watching BabyGirl's Thanksgiving play yesterday at school.
Two days ago B.B. & his dad were picking at each other & play fighting. B.B. wanted over the baby gate & in the kitchen. 2 minutes later he wanted back in the living room with his dad. I said, "No, you stay in here with me. Your dad's being mean." B.B. responded, "That's OK. I'm going to kick his ass." Uh, excuse me? After I suppressed the laugh trying to escape my lips (I'm sorry, it was funny. He was so sincere about it), I explained that ass is not a word we use in this house. There are two places he could have picked this one up, TV or cousins. He hasn't said it since.
Today, as if to redeem himself, he told me, "God is our King, Mommy." "You're right, Bubba. Where did you learn that?" (It's not a phrase we use often around here....at least not that wording.) "God told me so. I was talking to him on the way to town today. He tells me lots of things." From his mouth to God's ear could be dangerous.
I hope you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving tomorrow. I'll try to post (NaBloPoMo & all), but we shall see.

Happy Thanksgiving ! Sarah x
My sister, searching for a way to explain the answer to a five year old's question, Will God throw me to the devil? Aunt Bevie told him not to worry that is why God had Jesus. Jesus kicked the devil's butt.
I believe that God does talk to and through our children. Where could He find a purer vessel?
