At the moment I'm too tired to really write a coherent post. I do want to let everyone know that Bucka is doing well. He came through his surgery well. The surgeon did 4 bypasses as the fifth was deemed unnecessary during surgery. He was beginning to respond when Daddy & I left the hospital. He smiled at me, winked at me, and seemed to know what was going on.
He's not out of the woods yet. The first 24-48 hours or longer are critical. Stroke and pneumonia in particular are the possible worries. Please, keep praying for him & Busha.
It's been a VERY long & equally hard day, but I will go to sleep much relieved.
As they were taking him back to prep, Busha and I were crying & hugging when she said, "It's going to be OK. No matter what. Your Grandpa said he wins no matter what the outcome." She was right, but I have to say, I'm glad he's still with us.
