One puppy left our house this morning to head to the land of Ragged & Cynical...not their house, mind you. Just their town. Although, I'm sure Ragged & Cynical could use a Great Dane to mar the beautiful floors they've worked so hard to refinish.
One pup down, 2 to go...and only day one of this ad. It runs for 10 days. We've had 2 calls. We're getting there.
Not only has my new hair cut brought on some changes, but my new wedding ring has as well. I'm typing away with my fresh french manicure...and my ring looks so nice on a well kept finger. I picked up one of those do-it-yourself kits today and did my nails after Husband left for work. I've never had much luck with these kits before, but this time I'm pretty happy with the results. I even managed not to smudge it while it was drying.
Tomorrow is our church chowder. I know in the past I've mentioned that chowder isn't just soup in these parts. It's a social event. We're going to make about 60 gallons tomorrow. We start at 8 am and eat around noon. I volunteered to bring the celery...I always do. I hate celery. It takes FOREVER to cut up and I smell like celery for days after (OK, so that's a slight exaggeration. So sue me). Little BIL, being a cook in the Army, offered to cut my 5 stalks of celery for me. He had it done in about 30 minutes. It would have taken me an hour and a half or more depending on the kids. Uncle E's going to pick it up and take it in to the community building to keep for the night so I don't have to get there at 8 in the morning tomorrow. For these two men I am very thankful tonight.
Little BIL also brought over his DVD collection yesterday. My children have been introduced to Thunder Cats. Husband sat in the living room and sang the theme song while the kids were watching it. I have to say, I don't remember much about them. I was a Voltron girl myself.

I can only imagine a Great Dane and our four cats. It would be more than I fear they could handle.
Wow Thundercat's and Voltron!
I've just been warped from Japan to a week a Grandma and Grandpa's house in the summer, hunging out with your hubby when he was 10.
Fun memory!
Thanks Little BIL
