Daddy called yesterday, but I was gone. He left me a very nice message about million dollar homes in Key West & having lost QM, & G'ma & G'pa. I'm not sure it was that reassuring. Then he called Uncle Gick and told him their cruise had been rerouted to avoid the storm. I do feel better about that. He said they couldn't feel any movement on the boat. He also said his cell phone would now charge them $2 a minute, so he won't call again until they dock Saturday or Sunday.
Bitsy had her first round of vaccines today. She's been alternately sleeping & screaming since then. I was rocking her & listening helplessly to her screeches when Husband came and took her from me. She immediately stopped crying & I said, "That's it, you are not going to work today, mister." Unfortunately, that was not an option.
Yesterday we went to lunch with MIL, FIL, and SIL in Effin'bill. I'm not usually a fan of home style buffets, but this one was good. It's Amish owned. Afterwards we took the kids to the mall & Husband took them for a turn on the carousel...I do not go in circles voluntarily. I can ride roller coasters all day, but two minutes on the tilt-a-whirl & I'm worshiping at the porcelain alter.
I did make a short trek down to Old Navy so I could find some jeans. I came away with a pair of dark wash Skinny Jeans in their new Sweetheart fit and a free tank. Me like. Can some one explain to me why I cannot pull up the five pairs of size 4 jeans living in my linen closet (don't ask), but the ones I bought yesterday fit perfectly?
Inkling's mom & dad are on their way to my house. They were down South visiting with Puff & Lulu (their grandkids) and are going to stop here on their way home so they can meet Bitsy. I hope she's polite to her company...I cannot be held responsible for the behavior of a recently vaccinated 2 month old. Guess I should have told them that when they called. Oh well. I don't think they'll mind.

Oh, man... vax days are the pits, aren't they? Glad you got word that the cruisers are cruising along without a problem. :)
Glad to know that everyone is safe and sound!
