In a pinch

Today's Hot Mama Revolution topic is what to do in a pinch. Having 4 kids means my life is one big pinch, so this topic should be gravy for me...alas, like any other assignment, it is not.

I try to be uber organized & overly prepared when I know we're going to be leaving the house, but usually we're still late heading out. Husband was getting seriously annoyed at me for doing my make up when he was ready to go...yes, I know, I'm horrible and vain.

For Christmas this year Art filled a gigantic basket of odds and ends for me. One of my favorite things from the basket was a thin compact of Memoirs of a Geisha inspired make-up. I was wary as I'd never used cream make-ups before. After Bitsy was born I discovered I could put on eye-liner & mascara at home, and use these in the car. Simple. Effective. So now this compact stays in the diaper bag all the time. I'm not sure what I'll do when I run out. Yikes! (oh, and I stole the picture from e-bay...didn't want to dig mine out & take one....besides, it's not this pretty anymore)
