All Hail the conquering Hero!

I have conquered the fruit flies. They are gone...yahoo! But I have to say, my kitchen is very clean as a result. I've been scrubbing & bleaching & scouring. It's a good feeling. Now if I can only get to the floor. It needs it, but it's a little hard to scrub a floor with an infant attached to you at the hip.

And I have to say, watching How Clean Is Your House? every day has lit a fire under BabyGirl as well. A few days ago she discovered my Swiffer sweeper. I haven't used it much since we moved, I usually vacuum the kitchen before I mop. She came dragging it behind her through the kitchen Sunday and said, "Why have you been hiding this from us?!" She's been in a cleaning frenzy the past few days. I had to confiscate her damp rag before she tried to clean the computer tower with it. Today she asked for a Q-tip to clean with. She's even kept her room fairly neat.

It's not hurt my house keeping either. I'm not worried about a surprise inspection from Kim & Aggie like BabyGirl, but it has inspired me to keep on top of things a bit more. It's nice to have clean dishes all the time. Now if I could just apply it to the bathrooms as well.

I'm facing "loosing" my mother very soon. Tomorrow she's heading up to G'Ma M&M's house to visit & help out. Daddy will be up there this weekend for a reunion. After that, they're heading back home. Guess I can't complain. QM's been here since Father's Day weekend. It's just been so nice to have her around when ever I need anything...or just to set & visit. I've gotten a little spoiled. It's not easy for me to share...but HT needs his Grammy too.
