Don't they make a cute couple? "Let's play Aurora and Larry-boy get married, #1 Son!" is a phrase I hear on a daily basis. I have yet to figure out what this narcoleptic princess sees in a chocoholic super-hero cucumber dressed in yellow spandex. But then, that's the way of love, isn't it? Today they have given birth to Baby Larry (who will be called The Lone Stranger when he grows up, because that's a "grown up name"), and have adopted a big kid Larry (B.B.).
Last night BabyGirl got her finger caught in her bedroom door. It wasn't a major injury and I wasn't as sympathetic as she would have liked because it was the result of her and her brothers fighting over the door. So she wrote her dad the following letter (first in BabyGirl, then translated in English. Please keep in mind, she still transposes her letters on occasion & that's how I typed them):
Dabby I got Hrt on my figr it hrs' it fils' lic it is blibn (heart) BabyGirl Dabby Dabby I luv uo Luv BabyGirl
(she also thinks an apostrophe is needed at the end of every word ending in "s" making it sound like a "z.")
Daddy, I got hurt on my finger. It hurts. It feels like it is bleeding. (Heart) BabyGirl Daddy. Daddy, I love you. Love, BabyGirl
She wrote it all on her own and left it on his pillow last night. I moved it to the kitchen island so he'd see it in the light to read it. The first thing he asked her this morning was how her finger was. She was so surprised that he knew. I was surprised he made her letter out with out prior knowledge of the finger incident.

that is so sweet and tender. hugs to babygirl and I hope her finger feels much better today.
Aw.... how sweet!
That is so precious. I think kid's letters are the best. I could read a "Gone with the Wind" size book of them.
