Puppies and Ear Infections

Aurora and her brood.
BabyGirl hasn't thrown up since around 8:30 this morning. But now she's running a fever and complaining of an ear ache. Thank goodness for our NP and the antibiotic she had me get yesterday. I've given her the first dose and she's napping on the couch. I'm pretty sure the vomiting was lead up to the ear infection. It has been known to happen around here.

I got a nap this afternoon and woke up to a wonderful fruit pizza in my fridge. Last night Uncle E and N.M. (their oldest son) brought 4 pans full of cookie dough for me to bake since their oven is out. That's what he said it was for. I didn't think we'd get an entire pizza! It's wonderful. I could eat myself sick on it if I'm not careful.

For my 20th birthday Did planned a birthday lunch for me. She worked all day to make me a fruit pizza & it was beautiful. She went to check the final instructions and discovered she had forgotten to bake the cookie dough before putting on the cream cheese icing and fresh fruit. I do remember we salvaged it, but I don't remember how. I felt so bad for her. She'd worked so hard, and it looked so good...but it still makes me laugh.

Husband is laying in the kitchen floor with a puppy on his stomach. It was the first pup born and for some reason it never nursed well. Now it's too weak & cold to nurse, so he brought it in to give some electrolytes and warm up. It seems to be doing better. It was laying on a towel in front of the heat vent, but Husband thinks it'll warm up better if it lays on him. It was dreaming a few minutes ago. So sweet.
B.B. is in BabyGirl's room playing with her Cinderella dolls. He can only do this because she's asleep and too sick to care. He was busy stripping Cinderella's clothes off when I checked on him. I told him she'd get cold. He said, "Her potty, Mommy." So the doll is potty trained, but my son isn't.

I'm trying to convince crt and her hubby they want one, too. Her hubby kicked the bean bag that the (fat) cat is sleeping on and said ,"we already have a great Dane." Guess that's a "not a chance." Monarch has been begging for a real dog for months now.

I love Great Danes! They always make me think about Bevie J. Gravlin's book "Chakka", do you know it?
Hope all the pups are alright, and that baby girl will be better really soon!
