Hey, you remember yesterday when I said I was feeling better and I thought I was on the mend and things were definitely improving? Yeah, well, forget I ever said that. I feel like a big pile of reheated gobeldy-gook today (that's the medical term I believe).
We went to see Doc this morning and he said I've gained a pound...how that happened is beyond me since I haven't eaten all week. He also said there's precious little that can be done about how I'm feeling. I just have to ride it out. I think I'd cope better if sleep was easier, but since night time reduces me to constant mouth breathing & that dries me out so badly I can't sleep, it's a moot point. Oh well...this too shall pass.
Doc did have his secretary set up my Ultrasound after we left. We go to a fetal medicine specialist in Effin'bill since #1 Son's kidney issues. The Dr. office down there called shortly after we got home and our appointment is Feb. 2nd at 9:15 in the morning. Hopefully it will be exciting only in the fact that #1) if we're in the right room, it can be 4-D, and #2) if Baby minds it's manners (or rather doesn't mind it's manners and flashes us...which is what we want), we should know if we're getting a Pink Farm Hand or a Blue Farm Hand. Then all I have to do is make up a new name for him/her....oh, I so hope it's a Pink Farm Hand. But that's for another post...maybe later on tonight I'll explain in more detail.
In more good news, a few weeks ago I saw an add for Second Nature Feeding Systems. They're bottles designed specifically for breastfed babies. The nipple motion closely mimics the human breast making it easier for Baby to switch between the two. I went to the web site to check it out and because the add said they gave away monthly gift packages...well, guess who won this month's $25 gift pack? Yup, your friendly neighbourhood Farm Wife! I'm excited as I never win anything...and am pretty sure it's not a hoax. I'll call them later this afternoon to redeem my prize (unless they inform me I have to purchase another $25 worth of product & send them $15 for shipping...and then my little bubble will just burst).

So sorry to hear you're still fighting the crud.
Congratulations on winning, though- that's awesome. We started with Avent because that's what the LLC recommended when we had to supplement, but they gave Baby Bear terrible gas. We switched to Dr. Brown's, and her gas/spit up lessened. I'm curious to see what you think of Second Nature- they look promising. Similar shape to avent or dr brown's wide version, but the nipple construction sounds better.
p.s. Baby Bear's 15 month check up with shots is on Feb 2nd, too. Daddy is off that day, so he comes along to help restrain her when shot time comes!
Oh my gosh. I'm saying prayers that you PLEASE get better TODAY!!!! Enough of this rollercoaster. Hugs..
That's so cool they have those ultrasound. Can't wait to hear what farmhand you'll have.
I'm not fond of those boomerang illnesses. Just when you think you're rid of it, it smacks you in the back of the head.
yeaah!! Ultrasound and winnings!!
Booo... sicky crud stuff.
from your cheering section.
