More Issues

Issue #1. Allergies. I started today off on a roll. Cleaned the little bathroom before Husband got home from taking BabyGirl to school. I was going to start on the master bath, but as Husband stayed over at work, he needed to go back to bed for a bit. I blogged a little & then had a ginormous allergy attack. Sneezing, watering eyes, runny nose...and no reason behind it. Nothing is in bloom. I did not dust, vacuum, or move furniture. No one is farming/spraying fields around us. Could I be allergic to my children?

Issue #2. What is the point in subscribing to feeds if they refuse to update and I still have to check each blog one by one?

Issue #3. I have one hyper wire fox terrier bouncing off the walls today. Not sure why, but Lilly May is literally bouncing off the walls, the furniture, the kids, and Andrew. She really wants to go outside and chase kittens. She is only allowed out side in the safety of her run (a pen Husband put up along the back of the house so I can let her out the atrium door and not have to worry). She's a bolter. If she gets outside her run she wigs out and it takes major cajoling, bribing, and chasing to catch her...unless you're Busha and then you just have to stand in the yard and wait. Go figure.

Issue #4. I have to make my shopping list as Husband has officially moved "town day" up to Thursday to avoid the rabid Friday Wal-Mart crowd. I do not have an issue with moving "town day" but I don't feel like compiling a shopping list tonight. If I do not, that will mean wandering aimlessly through Wal-Mart in the morning, congested and undecided while the boys climb in and out of the cart and Husband says, "Are you almost finished? What else do you need? How much longer are you going to be?" He has no patience for shopping, but must go because I cannot heft the 50 lbs. of dog food into the van.

Issue #5. Balto II: Wolf Quest. The first Balto was cute. The kids liked it. The second is a little too "Inner Spirit Guide" for my tastes. But the kids were 2/3 of the way through it before this started and I'm not up to the battle tonight.

Issue #6. I gripe way too much! Things could be worse. My laundry is caught up enough that all I need to wash is a load of towel & that doesn't take a lot of effort. I have a dish washer so I do not have to stand over a sink of suds sneezing. No one is coming to visit, so my house does not have to be "company clean" today. No one has a stomach bug or a fever or an ear infection. I have frozen pizzas we can have for dinner so I don't have to cook. It isn't snowing. My life isn't really difficult.

Issue #7. My kids have lost their little minds. But I think that's a reoccurring theme here. BabyGirl has decided she's either a dog, a wolf, or a baby tonight. Complete with squealing and howling and barking and baby talk and bouncing around on all fours as her brothers run & scream in mock terror.
#1 Son is perpetually "creeped out" this week. Husband changed out the fluorescent bulb in the living room (that only lasted one night) for a regular 150 Watt bulb yesterday. #1 Son came to get me saying, "Mommy, you have to come see this. It's the coolest thing. Look, yellow light!" After the appropriate answer from me he continued, "Yeah, but it really creeps me out." Where he got this is beyond me.
Today I put the wrong lid on his sippy cup. I know it isn't important, but I always match the lids up to the cups they came with. Today I could not find his green lid so I put the blue one on instead. "Yeah, Mommy, but this really creeps me out."
B.B. won't leave his dad's Mag-Lite in the kitchen cupboard. He climbs up his brother's booster seat, onto the countertop, and pulls out the flash light. Then he flashes it and runs screaming into the laundry room.

Issue #8. This is more of a declaration than an issue. I intend to eat more Chocolate. Shortly after B.B. was born, I read an article that covered a Swiss study of expectant mothers. It said that the babies of the mothers that ate chocolate everyday of their pregnancies were happier, less fussy, and easier to calm than the babies of mothers who only ate it occasionally. Good Study!

Issue #9. Blogger won't spell check today or let me load a picture. Evil Blogger!

I love reading your blog. You make me laugh and I really sympathise with your kiddie scenarios !! I think that the scientist who recommended the chocolate diet for expectant mums must be a genius. I just wish I'd heard of his study when I was expecting !! S

I'm stealing that bit about eating chocolate during pregnancy and storing it away for future reference. Good study indeed. I hope your issue subside soon. I'm tickled that #1 son keeps getting "creeped out" where do they get stuff like that? ;)
