Please, Just Sleep!!!

Can someone please explain to me why the same child who has to be bodily dragged out of bed at 7 am for school every morning, bounces out of bed at 6:30 on Saturday morning? Don't say "Saturday Morning Cartoons," they've gone the way of music videos on MTV. Cartoons are for everyday now, not like when we were kids. And I let them all stay up until 8:10 last night! Normal bedtime is 7:30...Silly me, I thought this would buy me at least 30 minutes of sleep this morning. Nope.

I didn't sleep well after 3:30 this morning (I felt a bit like Halleyville wanting a cup of coffee...but I was too tired to mess with it, and didn't want to wake my brood). I won't tell you what kept me up, I guarantee it would be too much information (TMI as Daddy would say). Let's just leave it at one of the more unpleasant side effects of childbirth and following pregnancies.
I finally camped out on the couch and went back to sleep around 4:45...B.B. came in the living room at 5:30 looking for his Kim Possible dolls he was sleeping with (yes, even with her wardrobe issues, we still watch her...she can do anything. And in the last season, they dressed her better. Less naval, more clothing). I tucked him & Kim back in and went back to my nest on the couch only to be jerked awake 30 minutes later when he and #1 Son came tromping back into the living room. Baby Girl soon followed and all were banished to their rooms until the sun was fully up. It's overcast this morning so that was open for debate.
I'm up now...and eagerly awaiting my Jiffy raspberry muffins that have about 4 minutes left in the oven. Yummy! It's supposed to hit the mid to upper 60's today. I fully intend on throwing my children out in the yard for the afternoon. Husband doesn't have to work, so he can help wrangle while they chase Bonpas. Now I feel really bad for Inkling, Ang, and Halleyville as they weather the storm that's hit the PNW. I'll try not to take this weather for granted, girls!
The ornament at the top is one of Baby Girl's music box collection. A little Cinderella carriage circles it as it plays...oh darn, I can't remember the name of the song...it isn't from the movie.

If this comment goes thru it will indeed be a Christmas Miracle!

Anyway. It was really great seeing you at Wal-mart. I will have to keeping running into you. It may help me keep my sanity.

I am not sure why kids cannot sleep in on Saturdays. If I could just get a little extra sleep.

Just and FYI: Amazon has somereally good deals on toys. That Dora doll is only 9.99 (or at least it was the other day). Yin would like it, but she is getting a plain baby doll. I am another to vote no for Bratz. I just don't like the way the look. Maybe I can steer Yin clear of them, but to each their own.

i'm impressed that your husband is confident enough in masculinity that letting a boy sleep with a doll is no big deal!

sorry you had a sleepless night. hope you get some rest soon!
