A New Conundrum

Did bought me this lovely little thing a few years ago (I think...I know it's from Did, I'm a little fuzzy on the time. I haven't had it long...). I collect elephants and she has given me some of my favorites. Maybe I'll keep this one out to hang up all year...I really like it!

Cookies are done and bagged...I opted not to ice them as the recipe was a good one and not too spicy. Besides, I'm kind of a sucker for plain gingerbread men...they're cute! I opened and counted out all the candy that RL picked up for me last night and there will be enough for each kid to have about 6 pieces (and this is pretty good candy: Big Reese's cups, Twix bars, Three Musketeers...all in half sizes or so, and the bite sized Snickers and Milkyways), 2 Candy Canes, 2 Gingerbread men, a pencil, and a book mark. I'm going to put them all together tonight and see how they look. If they're still missing something, I guess they'll just have to do.

Tomorrow is Baby Girl's "First Annual 2006 Christmas Talent Show." Baby Girl goes to a small school. It's a Pre-K through 8th grade public school that has one class of each grade. Baby Girl's class is pretty big with 28 kids. I think every child in the school is preforming in this show tomorrow. They sent home a schedule for it today. There are 30 acts! And Baby Girl's Snowflake skit ("I am a snow flake, I look like a flower") is number 21...5 acts after the break! It starts at 8:30 and runs "throughout the morning." This makes me a little nervous. I'm not sure the boys (Husband included) can sit through that long of a program. Maybe I'll go by myself. I have to be there at noon for the Christmas Party...with this many acts it may not get over before noon. What to do? What to do?

On a very positive note, look at some of the acts in this PUBLIC SCHOOL talent program: Amazing Grace, Angels We Have Heard on High, El Shadai, Silent Night, & O Holy Night. I'm very happy about this. Then there's The littlest worm song, The Dukes of Hazzard, Emergency Broadcast Skit, and The 12 Days Days Before Vacation by the School Staff. This should be interesting.

How in the world are you fitting all that into those cups? I've used the little cups before for party "treat bags" and they sure didn't get that much good stuff!!
