I'm sorry if this is short. I don't have a lot of time...gotta' get home before Husband leaves for work. It's that whole not leaving young children unattended thing...bummer (as #1 Son would say).
Good news. Insurance has gone smoothly. Monday my van goes to town to spend the week at a spa and body shop. I get a free rental van (which I'll probably like more than what I'm packing around in), and I should have mine back by next Friday. Thank the Good Lord! VBS starts Sunday and that's the one week out of the summer I have to be somewhere EVERY night. If you think about me, send up a prayer. I'm teaching the Pre-K class...Which is usually our largest class! And I haven't hunted down my materials yet! Never hesitate to procrastinate (that's my motto).
Better news...Husband is thinking about a new internet connection. Not terribly soon mind you, but we are making a little head way...as long as I promise not to neglect my kids due to obsessive blogging!
I got to talk to Inkling this week. That was great! It's strange to go from talking every 2 or 3 days, to once a month or so. I've really missed her, but she and Henry David are basking in the glow of marital bliss. How sweet!
Saturday is THE social event of the season. Our little town's chowder. Yes, it's an event...not just a soup. The town's population is around 250 and I think more than 500 people show up for chowder every summer. I need to make a pie or two to donate. All the money goes to take care of the town cemetery. You see, you don't have to buy a grave plot if you live in town or the surrounding area...it's all a little odd, but I love it. Very country!

As soon as youngest gson was picked up, I decided to check my e-mail...long overdue, and saw that you'd been by my blog. Yea!
I hope your hubby knows how much we've missed you since you've been without a connection, and decides to hook you back up! I can just imagine all the wonderful things we don't get to hear about.
I love it that your little town has it's own designated final resting place for its residents, and what a great way to raise money for the upkeep!
Now what I want to know is... what's the slogan for the event? Maybe, "Come eat the chowder, and you'll never want to leave...so we can oblige!?!"
Hoorah for a possible new internet connection.
Your town sounds sweet.
oooh all of that is good news!
It seems like just a little while ago that I got your last letter discribing the Chowder- geez has it been a year already?
Here's hoping you get a connection all your own soon and we can hear from your more regularly!
Chowder sounds like fun.
It was good to talk to you too. I'd missed our chats as well. Plus you helped me stay focused on my task of washing umpteen blueberries. Without you, I'd probably have taken a loonnngggg break and only half-finished them.
Your chowder was a fun event, the one time I got to go. 250 people? Wow, I would have guessed closer to 50. Sure you're not counting livestock? Just kidding.
I love you lots, and will talk to you again soon. I'm also counting down the days until the mountain moves and lets you get an internet connection. Tell him we'll keep you accountable to pay attention to your children. And we won't let you do anything we wouldn't do. =)
Hope you get that internet going soon!!
: )
Well now that is alot...glad your okay...I'm thrilled with the thought that you will be blogging again soon...
All these years I have know about the chowder and never realized that it paid for the cemetary or that you could be burried there for free. Wow that's pretty sad; more proof that I don't ask enough questions in life!!
Thanks for the update and pulling my brain back home a bit!
