Shy zoo tweeting...uh, yeah...that's it.

OK, OK, here's the deal. Say what you might (Inkling & Grace) but I am shy. That "conversation with a tree if you think there's even a remote chance it'll talk back to you and be your friend" thing is a nervous tick. I talk a lot. I talk even more when I'm nervous. So even though I'm spilling my guts & my entire life story to a complete stranger, that doesn't mean I'm not quaking with fear inside. And most of the time, if they don't talk to me first, I won't say a word.

BUT, today went well. I had met the other mom a few times before & (after a slightly rock start) we hit it off pretty well. The kids had a blast. We walked no less than 27 miles (OK, so a lot less than 27 miles, but it felt like it). We saw 87 different snakes (maybe not 87, but it seemed like it). We read every plaque in the zoo (with some editing, I didn't want to explain "urine conservation" to a bunch of 6 year olds). And the hill I so despise is currently closed for renovations (I'm hoping for a ski lift). Oh, and there was another mom who shares my Twilight obsession so we chatted a bit on the way home (knew I'd fit that in somewhere, didn't you?).

BabyGirl had a blast at the museum & came home with blue eyebrows. I've never ever come home from a museum with blue eyebrows, so I'm thinking this is some place I'd like to visit soon.

Bitsy & B.B. were very well behaved for their Great-Grandma (Busha) & were happy to see us when we got home. Bisty stood at the back door saying, "Hi! Mama! Hi!" when I came in. It was good for my ego.

And you want to know something else? I've joined Twitter. Not 100% sure what all the fuss is about yet, but I might figure it out. Seriously, this recent bout of insomnia isn't good for my on-line time. So, come follow me.

I'm glad that you had a good day, and it was relatively painless in the socializing area. Sorry, if I offended you with the whole tree thing. :) Happy that the dreaded hill was closed. I totally haven't figure out the whole Twitter craze... seems a bit too simple to be so popular ya know.

Grace, you did not offend me at all. :) You know me & are allowed to tease.

I'm the same way with the nervous talking only I end up talking about beer and farts and dog poop (who knows why) and end up scaring people off.
And you'll love Twitter when I'm on at the same time and you cna read minute to minute updates on my crazy pregnancy hormones and toothbrush induced vomitting.
