Sounds of the Game.

Last night I watched The Legend of Bagger Vance. One of the few movies I've never heard an opinion of. I got to go into it with a completely open mind, no preconceived notions...and I loved it. Check it out.

While watching it, I realized a few things. I do not like golf. I've never liked golf. I don't understand it, I don't enjoy it, I don't watch it. My daddy loves golf. His parents love golf. Husband had a brief stint where he played quite a bit. It's just not for me.

But I love the sound of a club slicing through the air &hitting the ball. I love the sound of the ball dropping into the hole. There's something about those sounds that move me. I do not know why.

On a similar note, I hate baseball. Don't like to play it unless I'm at bat. Don't like to watch it. Don't want to enroll my kids in T-ball because that means hours & hours of time spent at the ball diamonds. I have been to 2 major league games & found 75% of the game B-O-R-I-N-G.

But I love the crack of the bat hitting the ball. I love the sound of the ball smacking into a broken in leather glove. There's something about those sounds that move me. I do not know why.

Just a few things to ponder.
