Whoo-hoo!

It is 68 degrees outside according to my kitchen window outdoor thermometer! The breeze makes it feel a tad cool, but it's nice enough that I've opened up the windows to let some much needed fresh air clean out my house! 30 minutes of this & I should be a very happy woman.

Lilly May, on the other hand, is freaking out. She always does when the windows first get opened. Husband isn't here to freak out. :) Bitsy is standing in front of the window letting the wind blow through her hair.

I was thinking about taking the FarmHands to the park to play after school today, but I fear the park is under water. 9 inches of snow melting in a few days can do that to a park...and my yard. Perhaps we'll all pull on our mud boots & go for a walk down the gravel road.

Days like this always throw me for a loop. I start to convince myself that winter is over and quickly forget it's still early February. The FarmHands are even harder to convince. They'll be ready to put the pool up tomorrow if it's still this warm out. Unfortunately, we could have another major snow storm before this winter is over. I think 70 degree temps this early in the year could fall under the heading of false advertising.

I guess I should refrain from packing away the winter coats & collections of hats & gloves just yet.

We had two lovely days, also. Quite a welcome relief after all the ice. It is now raining. I welcome that as much as the warm days.

It was in the 40's today and is supposed to be in the 60's tomorrow! Horay! I can't wait to open the windows... if the rain holds off of course. Oh well, even with the rain, I'll take it.

There's nothing better than that first influx of fresh air!

It snowed. All. Day. Long. at my house. My middle son said he was tired of it, and he wore shorts and flip flops anyway. That'll teach someone won't it?

It's in the 50s' today...a welcome cool change from the 70s of the last 6.

Especially as the kiddos are sick...I can at least say "Its not warm enough to play outside when you're sick" and know that both counts are 100% true!

I'm ready for the next snow storm and freeze to come through and kill some germs around our house though...I've aired, and freshened and disinfected, and scrubbed just about everything but the pets...and they're next on the list if it stays warm enough!
