I called Inkling today. Actually I called thinking I'd get to talk to Henry David or Aunt D & check on Inkling, but she was up to talking so we had a nice chat. Keep praying for her as she's still in quite a bit of pain & has a lot of healing to do, but she sounded good. Tired, but good.
Grasshopper has a bit of a latch problem leaving his Mama very sore & very tender on an already tender area of her anatomy. Inkling asked me if I'd ever used breast shells/nipple shields(click the link if you don't know what I'm talking about...the rest of the story will make more sense). I knew I had a set, but couldn't remember what they were called exactly, so I dug them out.
Since I'm done nursing, I don't need them any longer. Bitsy discovered them & laid claim to them immediately. She stacked them together & crammed them into the box repeatedly. Eventually her siblings came in the room & wanted to know what they were. I explained them and went in my room to finish talking to Inkling in relative quite.
A few minutes later, the FarmHands came bounding into my bedroom. BabyGirl had one set of shells tucked into the front of her dress. B.B. had the second set shoved up under his t-shirt. BabyGirl just giggled. B.B. announced, "Look, Mommy! I have BIG BUH-BUMS!" He was so proud. Then #1 Son, just for good measure, began to drum on his brother's new implants because they make a wonderful hollow sound when hit.
When I quit laughing, I left the room only to hear the kids discussing why I no longer needed the breast shells. I told them I wasn't nursing Bitsy anymore so there wasn't milk in my bosoms. To which BabyGirl says, "Yeah, that's why her bosoms aren't big anymore." B.B. shouts, "I'm gonna' have milk in my buh-bums!" I tried to tell him that only mommies get milk in their bosoms, but he's having none of it. "I know Daddy's don't have milk, but I'm gonna' have it!"
I may hire them out as mini-lactation consultants.

HAHAHAHAHA KIDS!!!!! Don't feel bad mine are not big any more either. I do miss them though.
How hilarious! And you were wondering how to entertain them today.
OH MY GOSH...I haven't laughed that hard all day...hee hee hee...hoo!
Who knew all they needed were some breastfeeding aids to entertain them during a snow day???
And that is one story for the ages...
This story reminds me of when my sweet nearly 4 year old daughter came in while I was pumping for the baby (she couldn't nurse due to tongue issues). She asked what I was doing and I told her I was making milk for Abbie. She then grabbed the extras and held them up to herself. I asked her what SHE was doing and she said, "Making lemonade for Abbie."
It's one of my favorite memories.
