On the first day of Christams, My true love gave to me

A 12 pack of Charmin Ultra-Soft.

Yesterday was the first day of Christmas. I had to send Husband to town to get Scotch tape, a new glasses case for BabyGirl, and toilet paper. We'll see if we can keep this up all the way through Christmas. Each day I will try to post what he's given me. Oh, and he has no clue I'm keeping track. This could get interesting.

I'm feeling a bit relieved. All my gifts are now wrapped & awaiting the FarmHand's bedtime on Christmas Eve so they can get tucked under the tree.

When prayer time rolled around at church yesterday I was almost overwhelmed at the number of people I need put on it. It was a tough week last week. It later occurred to me that I hadn't really asked you all to pray for these things for me. Better late than never.

One I did ask for was my friend L who told me yesterday that her miscarriage is "imminent." The baby has stopped growing & there is no heartbeat. She was given the option of a DNC, but chose instead to let her body take care of things. As far as I know, she's still waiting.

Secondly I ask you pray for my Daddy. If any of you read his post at QM's Petite Realm you know this mess with the auto makers & the denial of the loan is weighing heavily on him. He still has a job & knew well in advance about GM's plan to shut down 21 factories during the month of January, but his stress levels are still very high. Considering he has diabetes & a tendency to high blood pressure, stress is not his friend.

Add to that My Grandpa M&M (Daddy's dad) fell last week & spent most of the week in the hospital with an undetermined (as far as I know) infection. He had come back to bed from the bathroom when he fell & was too weak & worn out to get up. A neighbor came to help & Uncle Greenteeth rushed over. Eventually they had to call an ambulance because G'pa lacked the strength to step up into their van. He's home now, but the antibiotic he's on is doing a number on his stomach & he's still pretty weak.

My Uncle R (the preacher from Florida, QM's oldest brother) has been having chest pains. The news we've gotten back has not been good. We really don't know much now, but Busha says the bottom & back of his heart is damaged. More tests are soon to come.

Busha has glaucoma. She's known this for a while. At a recent appointment, her doctor was not happy with the pressure building in her eye, so they changed her drops. That didn't help so they changed them again. I'm not sure if the pressure is coming down now or not, but for a while the new drops were making her sick at her stomach.

A good friend of Mama & Daddy's (Mrs ST) found out this week that she has breast cancer. I believe her children are around 12 & 14 years old. She sees the surgeon today. They've been told the cancer is malignant, but the tumor is tiny.

And finally (I hope), I'm having my last three wisdom teeth taken out on Friday.

That should be enough to keep you busy for a while....and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate covet your prayers!!

Prayers heading your way.

You need other on the Christmas tree choices.

We wrap many, but Santa is not wrapped and not under the tree until Christmas morning. So mine is other.

Prayers are being said for your family.

Sometimes, it seems when it rains, it pours. Hoping and praying for good news on all fronts.
