NaBloPoMo, an anniversary dinner, and a brief shopping trip

I did it. NaBloPoMo is officially over after today & I made it. More than made it. I think my post count for month is in the high forties. Yikes! Maybe I'll win something...stranger things have happened.

And now the burning question on everyone's mind. Where did FarmWife & FarmBoy spend their anniversary? After much debate, changed movie times due to the Christmas parade, and a bit of cajoling on my part we crossed the river into the Hoosier state & enjoyed Applebee's Two for Twenty deal. We also visited Rural King, Menard's, and the new big Wal-Mart in the same town. Because we ("we" meaning Husband) didn't want to be out too late, we skipped the movie & came home. We were back in time to kiss the FarmHands good night, much to B.B.'s chagrin. He kept crying, "Grammy & Pa are gonna' tuck me in! You hava' leave & go back on your date! You tan't be here!" He was thrilled that we came home early until bed time rolled around.

We came home with HT's Christmas gifts, a white shirt for BabyGirl's Christmas program, new khaki's to replace the ones she lives in that are a full size too small, and the few ingredients I needed for my phefferneuse dough. It was nice to eat somewhere that didn't serve burgers wrapped in paper and didn't offer toys in their kids meals. It was even nicer to spend 3 and a half hours alone with Husband. We need to do this more often.

excellent! glad you two got some time alone, it's important when it doesn't happen that often to at least do it on special occasions.

Too funny about Farmboy. My husband and I surprise ourselves sometimes by wanting to cut the date short because we're tired and just want to get home. getting old sucks and it's great all at the same time.
