Curiosity & Cookies

Gail, Pfefferneuse are (if my understanding is right) German Christmas cookies. They're also called Peppernuts because, well, that's what they look like. Little nuts. They're highly spiced & the best way to make them, is to mix your dough around Thanksgiving time & let it lounge around your fridge until just before Christmas so the spices meld together nicely. Then you roll the dough out & cut it in bite sized bits & bake it. They're a bit hard on the outside (like a nut) but wonderful! I'm off to post the recipe on wha'cha got cookin'? for anyone interested (anyone interested in posting over there, let me know & I'll get you set up. There can never be too many cooks in that kitchen).

There are many different variations of the recipe, but I'm going to post my favorite. Here's the link: Old Fashioned Pfefferneuse Enjoy!

And since Gail started us off on the right foot this week, let's keep the ball rolling. It's Ask FarmWife time again! Hit me!

YUMMY!!!!!! Pfefferneuse are the best holiday cookies in the universe...maybe even beyond (if I knew what that was!)

OK - here's my AFW question for the week :

Will the writers allow Ziva and Tony to admit their feelings for each other, perhaps even explore them a bit without either getting killed, transferred, or kidnapped BEFORE the end of this season?!?!?!?! PS - thanks to our TiVo, we are now 2 weeks behind on watching this season, so DON'T spoil the episode with "the mole" in it for me....
