Yo ho, yo ho, hoist the colors high

Avast & Ahoy, mateys. This be officially Talk Like a Pirate day. If ye be willing and ye be able, strap on yer side arm, grab a salty wench and a bottle of rum, and unleash yer inner Capn'.

As we fly the Jolly Roger, the FarmHands & I'll be sharin' with you our secret, clandestine, cloak-and-dagger pirate names. Once she was BabyGirl, now she be known as ScurvyDog. #1 Son be Bloodstained Bart and B.B. now be Billy Bones. Bitsy is Black-eyed Bee and I'm yer humble capn', Yeller Kate. (Just so you know, we came up with our pirate names while reading Treasure Island. They've been changed around a bit, but you get the gist.) Climb aboard, lubbers & we'll set sail for the Spanish Main.

OK, that's way harder than it looks. Zann did a much better job of it a while back. Try your hand at talking like a pirate & let me know. I'd love to read it!

I'm feeling a bit better today. B.B. has his dentists appointment set & he's itching to go (it's not until Tuesday). Tomorrow is Husband's work picnic (a HUGE affair) and a dinner at his cousin's house because another cousin (Keith from Aim High House) is home from Japan. Little BIL will be up from Kentucky. All the aunts, uncles, and cousins will be there...or at least quite a few of us. If we're all there we'd total about 53 I think. We've found someone to shear the sheep (they're DIRTY & need to be sheared before breeding time...I'm not sure there will be enough wool to sell, but we'll see). The kids rooms are clean. We have a movie for family movie Friday. My Zune is updated & working like a dream again. All is well in my world for the moment.

So, I'm off. But before I go, Yeller Kate would have me leave you with this simple little ditty to ease you through yer day:

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We pillage, we plunder, we rifle, and loot,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot,
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.

We extort, we pilfer, we filch, and sack,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
Maraud and embezzle, and even high-jack,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.

We kindle and char, inflame and ignite,
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We burn up the city, we're really a fright,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.

We're rascals, scoundrels, villians, and knaves,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We're devils and black sheep, really bad eggs,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.

We're beggars and blighters, ne'er-do-well cads,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
Aye, but we're loved by our mommies and dads,
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.

BTW, Spell check doesn't know it's Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Avast ye mateys! Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day!

Captain Chaos has been running around all day in his little pirate hat, saying "Aarrgh!" in his little boy voice...I love it!

Hey, tell Keith that I said hello. He's always in our thoughts and prayers over here, and I'm glad he's home for a bit to visit you guys. I know he misses everyone, even though he's doing such fabulous work in Japan.

By the way, that song is stuck in my head too. Only I only know the first little bit. Is it even on television anymore? And wouldn't it be even cooler to get to say that you were related to Big Bird or Mr. Rogers?! Come on, meet the Letter People......
