Sweet Dreams are certainly not made of these.

Sarah at Ordinary Days posted this morning about Jessica Simpson dreams. Lately I know Inkling has been having odd/disturbing dreams...and if my gut is right, so have Zann & A Wandering Heart. They say you don't have any stranger dreams when you're pregnant than you normally have, you only remember more of them because you're waking up so frequently.

Once upon a time, QM had a dream that has gone down in family lore. I think Princess was in grade school when she had the dream, but in her dream world, Princess was a baby. And she died. Yeah, lousy dream right? That's when it got weird. QM put my poor dead baby sister in a roasting pan & stuck her in the oven to keep her warm. Huh? I really don't want to know the meaning of that dream.

Shortly after Husband & I got married, I had a dream that Princess died (what's wrong with us?). We were having her funeral at the church Husband & I attend even though it's 5 hours from where they live. Princess was laid out in her coffin (not a roasting pan) on the church floor in a corner normally occupied by the piano. QM told Daddy & me she was going to sing at the funeral service. She had decided this was one last act of love she could preform for Princess. In real life my mom never sings in public. She says she cannot sing at all. In the dream I started screaming at my dad to stop her. "You CANNOT let her sing! Make her stop!!"

Then there was the dream when I had a screaming fit at my grandparents because after 58 years of marriage, they divorced & both took up with much younger people. Busha & Bucka were still living in their house together, but each had a live in boyfriend/girlfriend. I was NOT happy.

Or how about the dream I had while pregnant with Bitsy that QM & Daddy were expecting baby #4 as well? Or any of these dreams I've posted about in the past....

This week the lack of sleep due to sick kids has me at it again. This time there were zombies. Apparently Zombies were a fact of life in my dream world because it wasn't their presence that bothered me. It was the fact that they were making a nuisance of themselves. There was a small horde of zombies living in the woods around our house. Normally they kept to themselves only prowling at night & keeping well away from us. This night, they decided to attack our house.

The zombies were gathering at the atrium doors in my living room & trying to get in. I told them if they didn't go back to the woods I'd be forced to call the authorities. They thought I was bluffing, so I grabbed the phone & dialed 911. I guess they decided I wasn't kidding because they began retreating (I'm sure the local sheriff's office is well versed on combating the living dead). Not certain of them staying away, QM (who was staying with me) and I decided we needed reinforcements....so Uncle Greenteeth came to help us shoot zombies.

We were going to get Husband's guns out of the closet, but first I wanted to get dressed. Killing zombies is something best done in something other than a night gown apparently. The biggest problem was, I couldnt' find any underpants that fit. The only clean undergarments were ones I wore while VERY pregnant. I wouldn't let anyone into our room to arm themselves until I found the proper panties...so we pretty much faced destruction when I was jolted awake by Bitsy's cries.

Maybe I'll just quit sleeping. I'd much rather have Jessica Simpson Karaoke dreams.

Poor Farmie! I'd much rather have my dreams about houseguests that never leave...although I'm still not certain who they were, they were rude, and just would NOT go away!

Gosh, these sure are weird dreams. But then I have had some pretty weird dreams too... The ones that you get up from, being even more tired then when you went to sleep...
I heard somewhere (can't remember where though) that it was a good thing to write them down in a diary... Then again : diary - blog, not such a big diffence appart from the public, right?
;-)
I hope the FarmHands let you sleep a little more from now on!
