Locked out.

I'm sitting in Uncle E's basement waiting on RL to get back from C***P with my house keys.

I took Bitsy to the doctor today & she has an ear infection. Busha & Bucka watched the older FarmHands while I was gone. I stopped at Wal-Mart & did the grocery shopping while waiting for Bitsy's antibiotics to be filled. Then I went back to Busha's, got the kids & headed home.

At home I let the FarmHands play outside while I unloaded the van. I grabbed the phone to call QM & let her know about Bitsy while I was unloading groceries. I had just pulled Bitsy out of her car seat when I saw BabyGirl pull the back door shut as she ran out to play. Horrified, I knew what she had done before I got to the door.

Why she locked it is completely beyond me. All I can say is it's an act of God I had the phone in my hand & hadn't put Bitsy in her play pen yet. If she'd have been in there, I'd have knocked out a window.

I called RL and she came to our rescue. She loaded up our perishables & brought them & us to her house, then headed off to get the keys from FarmBoy.

I am so making a copy to leave here.

Been there, done that! Remember the night last fall when Prophet locked us out and all the housekeys known to mankind in the house! Not good. We had to call a locksmith!

The worst feeling is that moment you realize you just locked yourself out of your car or house. I'm sorry, but so glad you had someone to rescue you.

Ugh.. was it a padlock or regular lock? Sometimes regular locks have enough give to jimmy them with a credit card, stick, or something. Not that I know from experience. ;)

Glad you had your phone!!!!

OY! I've done that a time or two...thankfully not since the kids were born, but I had to climb in through the smallest window on the first floor, over a brick window ledge...let me tell you, that was THE LAST TIME I didn't have a key secreted somewhere that I could get to...

Glad you are ok, and we'll be praying for Bitsy and the FarmHands, as well as you and FarmBoy that no one else will get sick...
