The Great Escapee

Thursday morning, after we left for vacation, RL & J came to the house to let out the dogs. When they got here, they discovered Fiona was on the loose. She's the only goat we have left. She lives in a giant pen behind the house. She's never escaped prior to last Thursday.

RL & J penned her back up only to have her escape two more times. In the end they put her in an empty dog pen in the woods.
Husband walked her fence Saturday after we got home to try to figure out where she got out. He penned her back up & we've spent the last 4 days putting her back in. Yesterday I was chasing her down when I heard thunder rolling in the distance. I thought rain was coming & tried to hurry. About 2 hours later, I discovered there were funnel clouds 15 miles to our north....and I was outside chasing a stupid goat!
As I came home from my walk today (1.2 miles with a pair of 2 pound weights to carry...yeah me), Husband was throwing on sweat pants & heading out the door. "I just saw where she's getting out. I'm going to fix it." Off he went.
About 10 minutes ago I looked out the window to see her grazing happily next to the garden. "Uh, FarmBoy, goat's out again." "No Way!" "Yes way, Ted." (FarmBoy's name is not Ted. It's a Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure Reference.)
I think we'll change her name to Houdini

Hmmmmm...who knew there was such a thing as a magic goat? Maybe she's got an evil twin running around, and the real goat is hiding in the pen, while the evil one is running around the yard...

I thought the Ted reference was from Farmer Ted in Sixteen Candles. Do I have the wrong farmer?

More importantly, how cool is it that the goat is named Fiona! Sorry, it's such a great goat name. Not that I've ever had a goat.

Goats and Irish Setters must share the same gene pool.
