33, here I come!

Yesterday was not what I would call a happy birthday....but thank you all for your warm wishes just the same. Woke up at 6:30 with Bitsy, went to bed a little after 11 pm. In that 16 1/2 hours of awake time, about 2 1/2 hours of it were really good. The rest of the time was spent arguing with kids, breaking up fights between kids, trying to get kids to clean their rooms, listening to kids yell at each other about who made the mess, having kids totally ignore any and all instructions given, shooing kids out of places they weren't allowed to be, telling kids they could not go outside because they STILL HAVEN'T CLEANED THEIR ROOMS!!!

I was hoarse last night from all the yelling (and yes, crying) I did. If this is what 32 is going to be like, I think I'll skip on ahead to 33.

We did go to a cookout at Husband's cousin's house. It was a late mother's day/welcome home Little BIL/May birthday/anniversary celebration. There are 7 May birthdays & 2 May anniversaries on Husband's side of the family. NM's girlfriend sent me a very cute birthday card. Everyone told me happy birthday many times. They had a big cake for all of us to share. I sat around & talked with all the cousins. The kids played far away from me (which was a good thing by that time) supervised by older cousins. That was my good 2 1/2 hours.

Today's been so so. Lunch at MIL's was pretty good & fairly drama free. Trip to Wal-Mart with the FarmHands has brought on premature greying of my hair & a near panic attack about vacation (how will we keep all of them from killing each other on the way down & keep from abandoning them once we're there?). BabyGirl has a new backless booster seat so B.B. can move up to her old one. We're going to rearrange the seating in the van to try to curb some of the drama. BabyGirl & #1 Son do not need to be near each other, but we couldn't fit B.B.'s big car seat in the back. B.B.'s not real excited, but at this point, I couldn't care less.

Also picked up new sneakers for #1 Son (which he kissed when he had to take them off to play outside this afternoon) and tomato plants, bell pepper's, watermelons, zucchinis, and some lavender for the garden. Now I have to dig myself out from under the mess no one made. I still haven't figured that one out.

I'm sorry I missed telling you happy birthday on your "real" birthday...we were dealing with the aftermath of bad pork chops at our house all weekend...

Lots of love and hugs, and NO 32 is NOT like that...at least not all the time...maybe its just because I'm on the downside of 32...YIKES!

Ugh! I am so horrible at remembering birthdates! Sorry the day wasn't the best.. but hopefully the year will make up for it. I personally am very happy you are alive, so I think I will go celebrate your birthday now :)

Ok, so I told your kids to make sure you knew I wished you a happy birthday. I told them in childrens church. I bet they forgot. My kids were pretty rotten all weekend.

I know it isn't ask farmwife day. But, my question is.... what do you do when your dogs are having puppies. I have been through this before. but, just curious what others do. Like where does she have the puppies at? do you sit with her?
