The Hot Mama assignment this week was to post the last item of clothing you purchased for yourself. It worked out well for me as I planned on posting this when I got it, but never got the chance. BabyGirl's photography skills are yet again on display here. This is my $2 outfit I got at Wal-Mart two weeks ago. Well, the jacket & skirt are anyway. The silver shell under the jacket was a Christmas gift from QM & Daddy many years ago & I'm pretty sure it rung up a tad over $2. The skirt is pleated, but needed to be ironed.
And in non-hot mama news: My kitchen floor is clean (my knees do not like me today). My fridge has been scrubbed. My bathrooms are spotless. The laundry is done. The sheets are drying. I'm well into Bitsy's Christmas ornament for G'ma M&M's tree (she has one cross stitched ornament for every member of our family. It was Aunt SilverBelle's job to make them up until 4 years ago when the task was passed on to me). When all this is done I have headbands to make & a special Christmas present to work on. I'm feeling accomplished but exhausted.
QM had surgery on her shoulder Friday to remove bone spurs. She said she's feeling pretty good now, with the exception of a sore shoulder. Uncle Gick went down to be with her & Daddy during the surgery. He & Unkie Di came over Saturday with a bag of clothes for the kids & an anniversary gift for Husband and me (the star & heart ornaments). The kids are thrilled with their haul (that also included fun underwear, but I'm pretty sure they'd kill me if they ever found out I put pictures of their unmentionables on the 'puter). Very Christmasy.
Tomorrow Little BIL is coming to spend the day with us. Husband has promised a trip to Pizza Hut. BabyGirl gets out of school early & Husband is on vacation. I'm looking forward to taking a break without feeling like I should be ______ (insert chore here). And if the weather is nice, Husband, Little BIL & the older kids will be outside leaving me with some quiet time. Now that's what I call Thanksgiving.
Oh, and the NP was right. Bitsy will be picture perfect come Thursday. Her eye already looks nearly perfect. I'm glad. I was hoping for a holiday where my kids weren't contagious!

way to go! I decided not to mop, but still feel good about what I accomplished
Aaagh!!! I feel like I'm rubbish now.
I think those clothes are even cuter in the picture.
I tried to find you something in tin for your 10th and the heart was as close as I could come.
I thought the reminder would be good to.
The little star is just because you needed it. So while your doing Bitsy's stitch the year on the back of the star.
Love the outfit. You are a hot mama.
Word up! Everybody say when you feel the urge you got to get underway. Do your dance, do your dance quick. Mama let me hear you, tell me what's the word? and word up.
Love the pretty clothes...and the ornaments are such a nice anniversary present!
