And remember, Mommy, tomorrow we're going to Grammy & Pa's. And even, can I take my sleeping bag? Will they have chocolate? They always have chocolate, Mommy. Do they have milk? Can I drink their milk? Are we going to have a sleep over there? Can we have a sleep over for 2 days? Will we see Baby HT? Will Miss Art & Syd & Lulu & Mr. C.A. be there? Where will they sleep? Can we watch Grammy's Bob & Larry movies? Do they still have toys? Remember we're going to Grammy & Pa's tomorrow, Mommy. Why can't we go tonight? Is Bitsy coming with us? Will there be a pillow there for me to sleep on? Don't worry, Bud, I'll pack your pillow. Which one? The one on my bed? My Nemo pillow? That one? 'Cause that's the one I sleep on. Can I take my Super Hero Pajamas so I don't have a bad dream? Is Macaroni going with us? I need to take Macaroni with us so I can sleep with him. Daddy, you can't go with us. It's just us and Mommy. You have to stay here. We'll come back after 2 sleep overs, Dad.
I knew I should have kept my mouth shut. I didn't tell them until yesterday...and even then I only told #1 Son (BIG MISTAKE). He told BabyGirl & B.B. but they didn't realize he wasn't just playing until today. He must have reminded me about the trip 8 times in the 5 miles it took to get home from school today.
I was hoping they'd watch Babe and let me decompress for a bit, but that was too much to ask.
I've scrubbed the kitchen, washed all the dishes, put away the clean ones, scrubbed the bathrooms, washed all the sheets, vacuumed the living room, done most of the laundry, and prepared the snacks for our trip. Tonight I have to pack clothes, toys, books, diapers, wipes, sleeping bags, toiletries, HT's gift, and any other necessities needed on a 3 day trip with 4 small children...Valium? Xanax? Vodka? Oy.
I can do this...I can do this...I can do this...If I can give birth I can do this.
B.B.: You belly hurts?
Me: No.
B.B.: You belly hurts.
Me: No, it's fine.
B.B.: No, you belly hurts. I check it.
Thanks, man. The stethoscope really helped.

Have fun and be safe! Just remember it's not a super long drive.... if I can drive from Birmingham,AL to Pittsburgh, PA (17 hours) in one day with a small baby, a five year old, and a four year old, you can do five hours (I think that's probably about right isn't it? I know Danville to Nashville is approx. 5 1/2 without a small baby) with 4.... not a problem!
Bless you Babe!! Seriously I will be praying for you!
Have a safe trip! We are off on a four hour drive today ourselves, so I know just what you're going through...I keep hoping that I don't forget anything...diapers, stuffed animals, the baby. And I may need that xanax as well! OY!
Have fun!
Praying for a safe and uneventful trip for you and the brood! Keep us posted, and know that we're all keeping you in our thoughts and prayers!
