Slowly but surely

The storms last Thursday did around $1,700 worth of damage to my van. The insurance adjuster just left. I'm glad Husband was here when she came. #1. All my bras are in the wash & I really didn't want to answer the door in my current state of freedom. #2. He always has a list 10 miles long of things he wants me to say/ask/tell and I can never seem to remember 1/3 of them when faced with the adjuster.

We had hail that ranged from nickle size to ping-pong ball/golf ball size last Thursday night. It wasn't fun...especially considering I was alone in the house with all 4 kids. I know my imagination gets the better of me, but I worry what I would do if faced with a tornado while alone with my babies. That's one of my biggest fears. But we were blessed. The tornadoes passed our area by that night while we sat in the bathroom floor & prayed for safety. The kids weren't traumatized by it & I was amazed by their faith in God once again.

BabyGirl is feeling better. Her fever has come down, and 24 hours of antibiotics have caused a marked improvement. So far, no one else is showing signs of illness.

I've sorted through BabyGirl's closet & drawers today. Packed up dresses from Syd that have to go back, packed away summer clothes for next year, packed away too short dresses for Bitsy years from now. Next I have to tackle B.B.'s wardrobe so HT can get a box of hand-me-downs.

Now if only I can work up the gumption to get my house cleaned again...before Inkling gets here. I mean, seriously, she's coming all the way from Canada to see us. The least I can do is have a place for her to sit.

Yikes! I'm so glad the tornadoes passed you over, and that the little ones were your reminder again. (funny how they do that isn't it?)

Praying the insurance will simply repair and pay in full for the van, keep us posted.

Also glad BabyGirl is doing better. We're still praying protection around you and the rest of the family!
