This week Sarah (who I've finally linked in my side bar) wants to know what one thing we need to pull it all together when we have 3 seconds to get out the door. "One thing to make [yourself] look and feel a whole lot better." ****
For me it's a ponytail holder. I know, it sounds simple and even frumpish, but if I'm a mess & have to leave quickly, I grab a pony-o (as my friend Kork calls it), sweep my locks up and hit the road. It's perfect for hiding greasy, haven't-showered-in-two-days hair or ratty, can't-find-my-brush-because-someone-was-singing-into-it-last-night hair. If the pony tail is a tad messy it looks like it was meant to be that way. I almost never leave the house without a pony-o in my bag or on my wrist...heck, I sleep with one on my wrist 80% of the time.****
If my hair is clean & combed when I find myself running out the door, I'll throw on mascara & I'm good to go. I'm a fairly low maintenance girl so it doesn't take much, but I don't think I could survive without my pony tail holders....and don't want to survive without mascara!****
Come to think of it, when I was watching Cowboy U last year and they made each person choose one item to keep one girl kept a card of pony-o's. I clapped for her. That's what I would take if I were ever on Survivor.****And can someone explain why I can't get a paragraph break if I post a picture today?!****

Confession: 9 nights out of 10, I sleep with a "pony-o" on my wrist too. I love the "pony-o" term. I think I'll use that from now on. "Hairband" is soooo yesterday!
Hair bands are the best. . . cover all hair mishaps.
I'll just say your ponytail is much more attractive with the lower half of your head not shaved. Maybe your one trick to looking good is not shaving your head.
I chopped my hair into a "wash and go" style because I got sick of always putting it in a ponytail. That's not flattering to my basketball shaped face. I was hoping to do the locks of love thing, but I started getting headaches before it got long enough, and the only time I get frequent headaches is when my "horse-hair" mane gets too long.
Yes, Art, the shaved head thing was not a good look. 12 years later I can admit that...but then, neither was the near black lipstick.
