Country Music & My Superpower

Husband has been listening to country music the past few weeks. I like country, but mostly listen to rock. Lately I've found myself listening to the country stations when he's no around. Here are my issues: that stupid "I wanna' check you for ticks" song is making me CRAZY! I hate it! But I love Tim McGraw's "If you're readin' this." It made me cry on the way to the gas station on Sunday. And the Carrie Underwood song about carving her name into his leather seats....love that one too. Makes me want to commit acts of vandalism.

Bitsy has gas. Lots & lots of gas. I fear I may have to give up chocolate.

A WORD ON BREAST FEEDING:
I've breast fed all my babies. It's a task I take great pride in. I feel very blessed that I've never had trouble breastfeeding & that I have a very supportive family in regards to it. The entire process really amazes me...that our bodies can provide the perfect food for our newborns and in the perfect amounts. My favorite part of it all is watching my babies grow & knowing that it's all from me & that's how God designed women. Today was Bitsy's first check up. She left the hospital on the 29th weighing 5 lbs 14 oz. Today she weighed in at 7 lbs 2 oz. I love that.

I'm part of a breast feeding group on CafeMom & the slogan for the group is: "I make Milk. What's your superpower?" I love it. I need a t-shirt.

I'm working on a song book. Bitsy likes to be sung to. I can never remember the words to any songs when she's demading it. My book includes lyrics to Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright, La, La, Lu from Lady & the Tramp, My Own Home from Jungle Book, Wayfairing Stranger (a spiritual), Maybe from Annie, Will there be any Stars (an old hymn) , and others...I need to get it finished so I can sing something besides Amazing Grace to this baby.

Way to chug, Bitsy!!!! You are so blessed to not have had any major problems with BF. If you haven't seen the t-shirts on the lactivists blog, you have got to google it... there are some great sayings.

i'll be calling you for tips next time around.
