Goodnight songs

My Bitsy song book is done. Here are the songs in it:
  1. Goodnight My Someone from The Music Man
  2. Wayfaring Stranger- Spiritual
  3. Will There Be Any Stars?- Hymn
  4. La la lu- Lady & the Tramp
  5. My Own Home- Jungle Book
  6. Feed the Birds- Mary Poppins
  7. I Know You- Sleeping Beauty
  8. Maybe- Annie
  9. I Wonder- Sleeping Beauty
  10. A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes- Cinderella
  11. Spoonful of Sugar- Mary Poppins
  12. Who Will Buy?- Oliver
  13. Hallelujah- Rufus Wainwright (Shrek soundtrack)
  14. Come Thou Fount- Hymn
  15. How Great Thou Art- Hymn
  16. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot- Hymn
  17. Me & Bobby McGee- Janice Joplin
  18. Summertime-Janice Joplin

My book isn't pretty. It's printed lyrics glued to construction paper, but it serves it's purpose. Good enough for me & Bitsy doesn't mind the lack of decoration. At least I can now sing something besides Amazing Grace & hum Rocky Top to her (yeah, the last one is from years of marching in a certain Mule infested parade in Tennessee).

She's on strike...or has put me on strike...I'm not sure which. She wants to be held constantly so I'm getting NOTHING done. Oh well. She won't be this little very long. What's that poem? I'm rocking my baby & babies don't wait?

:D you have one of my favorite hymns on there (Come Thou Fount), I've been singing it a lot recently. It's a comfort song to me. And I've always loved "Summertime", in fact if I'm not mistaken, I think my mom use to sing that to me as a lullaby too.

You've got some of my all time favorite songs on there...Who Will Buy?" Love it, and so many others. There are only a couple on there I don't recognize...the one from the Jungle Book, and the one from the Shrek soundtrack. I intend to look them up.

I used to sing, "Three Little Fishes" to Eliza when she was toddling around, and "You Are My Sonshine" to Robbie. But Eliza's favorite was "Itsy Bitsy Spider"...It could stop her crying in a split second.

Oh I am so glad I am not the only one dealing with a fussy baby who does not want to be put down. I am loving it because I know this is last time I will have a little one. Also I love those precious baby sounds she makes.
