Random Tidbits for the Weekend

We've had some company lately. Canadian Geese have been hanging out at our pond lately. This time I actually made it out with the camera without one of the kids or the dogs scaring them away. I love to watch them, but I'm not sure I'd like them to stick around. When they have little ones, they can get a little aggressive (Husband and I were chased by one at the zoo when we were dating). I think I'll call them Inkling & Henry David...if they stay.

• Last night was the PTO carnival. 25 tickets for $5. Duck pond, ring toss, bean bag toss, Bounce House, mini-basketball, cake walk & all the junk prizes you could carry in your brown paper lunch sack. We were there an hour & I was all carnivaled out. It was in the HOT gym since it was raining out side. They had Dance Dance Revolution in the 5th grade class room...Miss A thought I should go show the kids how it was done. Yeah, that would've been pretty.
• I have watched movies this week. Lots of movies. MI:3, You, Me, & Dupree, Stranger than Fiction, Blood Diamond, Superman Returns (fell asleep), The Break Up, My Super Ex-Girlfriend (Ugh...didn't bother finishing it), Happy Feet (half of it at 4 am), Chicken Little, The Holiday (LOVED it), and I'm half way through Lady in the Water. A few words about The Holiday: almost makes you forgive Jude Law for the whole Nanny thing...except when you remember he's only acting. Cameron Diaz seriously reminded me of Princess- facial expressions, mannerisms, laugh...it was a little freaky. But I adored that movie! Jack Black was so endearing...I did want Kate Winslet to stop crying at one point, but I dealt with it...just the character. Loved it when she confronted Jasper (love him too...Rufus...First saw him in Dangerous Beauty). Oh, and Leonardo DiCaprio had quite a few mannerisms & expressions in Blood Diamond that looked just like Bubba. That also was very odd.
• Did I mention I have purple boots?
• Cream Horns are not breakfast food...but did that stop me? Nope.
• I'm going to have a good weekend. No plans except that. My goals all center around no major meltdowns and a fairly relaxing time...we'll see how that goes.
• QM is sick with a stomach bug. Hope she gets over it soon...I've talked to Daddy the past 2 days, but not her. She's pretty much kept to the bed.
• Art's niece (Pumpkin...not to be confused with Sarah's Pumpkin) was still sick on Thursday. She came home from the hospital, but was vomiting at home. Didn't talk to Art last night, so I'm not sure how Princess is now. I'll try to find out.
