Since it's far too early for me to be nesting, I'll rack this all up to Spring Fever...that and no more laundry left to do. I'm attempting to clean up the piles. You know what piles are don't you? Those odd little spaces that get filled with things that don't have official homes. Most of the stuff is unnecessary, but some of it is very precious but not easily categorized.
When we moved the beds around before Thanksgiving, both the cradle (that Grandpa M&M made when Q.M. was expecting me), and the crib all 3 of my babies have slept in were stationed in my room. Not a problem as the TV from my room moved into the living room when the big one died. There was room...but both were soon full. The cradle houses baby clothes I've never put away, a ginormous teddy bear G'ma M&M made BabyGirl, and the baby car seat. The Crib became a catch all for sheets I didn't feel like folding, the down comforter I needed to stuff back in it's duvet, and all that fabulous scrap booking stuff Q.M. gave me for Christmas.
Now that we know Bitsy is a she and not a he, I can start ridding myself of the boy clothes I've been hoarding for 4 years. H.T. got 4 Space Bags full last month & I have at least that much left...I have to call Princess and see if she wants 12 month to 18 month clothes to save for the boy who's just now hitting 6-9 month sizes. If not, Goodwill, here I come.
This morning I emptied both crib & cradle, folded said sheets, stuffed said duvet, repacked the linen cabinet, cleaned the chest of shoes out (I have 8 million pairs of little girl's dress shoes), and bagged some boy clothes. I still have to tackle both the kids' closets (I cringe at the thought), and overhaul BabyGirl's room. I'm stopping to let the Claratin kick in (don't worry, it's pregnancy safe...and necessary for a dust sensitive Farm Wife) while I blog & wash the pots and pans I've been avoiding all weekend.
In the mean time Husband is building BabyGirl a new book case. Her old one was a cheap thing I bought in a box at Wal-Mart when she was a baby (or when I was pregnant). In the past 6-8 months, the cardboard back has ripped away and the sides are so bowed out the shelves won't stay in. I was going to try to fix it, but Husband said he'd rather build a new one. He came home to day with wood and is sanding and sawing as I type. He got enough wood to make a set of shelves for the boys too. He'll have to go back and get 2 more boards tomorrow, but for under $50 we'll have 2 very sturdy book cases as opposed to one flimsy one for $30.
Last night I saw a commercial for Minwax color stains. Stains in bright and primary colors. If I can find some in the backwoods we call home, I may do fun things with the new shelves. One way or the other, I am a happy girl right now. That may change once I empty the closets...
Note to self: post about strange pregnacy dreams.

Please, Please, Please come to my house!! I am in need of decluttering. I take stuff to the Garage Sale 1 time a month. Tomorrow is the day, and I have one box of summer packed and a bunch more to pack.
I am getting nothing done, as I have a HORRIBLE headache and it is making me sick to my stomach. Yikes!
If you sis does not want the clothes you might call them. I usually make $80-100 on junk from here.
Way to go on the chores! Rudy is thinking of buiding Yuri a loft bed. AKA.. bunk beds with no bottom bunk. Take a pic of the shelves!
You've been zapped with energy..My word. Well I'm glad you are productive and making use of time. Boy I need to work on something, now. Hugs!
I've been thinking of building a couple of shelves for baby bear, or havig hubby do it. All this pre-fab, non-wood furniture is getting on my nerves.
We could use several sets of bookshelves, come to think if it... Most of our books are boxed away. (Except for Baby Bear's.)
