Ok, I'm back from that tangent. I know the closets still looked over stuffed and cluttered to the untrained eye, but believe you me, they are fabulously clean and organized now...sort of. I could do more with BabyGirl's closet, but Bitsy doesn't have a chest of drawers yet. Truth be told, B.B. doesn't either. He has a red Rubbermaid rolling drawers set. But it does the trick.
The boys (#1 Son in particular) spent all morning helping their dad fix up BabyGirl's old book case for their room. It fit perfectly between the afore mentioned red drawers and the door & nicely holds all the Little People vehicles that had been congregating on their bedroom floor. I think I'm becoming a big fan of shelves!
I'd also like to point out that there are 2 Large bags of clothes (plus some smaller bags of shoes) lurking in the boys' closet that will soon make the long trip south to lurk in H.T.'s closet until he wears 12-18 month clothes. There is also a bag of 0-3 month boys clothes that needs to find a new home.
I have to buy more baby hangers...but I am feeling very accomplished (and tired) today. I even managed to make the Rice Krispy Treats, run a load of dishes in the washer, and make Salmon Patties, green beans, and Baked Potatoes for lunch.
Just one question: Why does my can of Great Value Pink Salmon say, "Allergy Warning: Contains Salmon," in little letters under the list of ingredients (which are Salmon & salt)?

Very nice job girlfriend! Just get rid of everything that won't be used. I gave every little boy thing I owned away within a month of Bee's birth and everytime she or they outgrow something it now goes out the door the next seasonal clothing shift. My cousins little girl gets Bee's stuff and a little guy at church is getting the boys' stuff. It's very satisfying.
You made me laugh with the salmon warning part!! And, well done for all this work - a mammoth job that I need to do too. You must feel good to have sorted it all out.And pregnant too?!! Nesting is starting to kick in Farm wife !! S
Oh yah, and why is there a peanut allergy warning on peanut butter, and a tuna warning on a can of tuna, a wheat warning on whole wheat pasta and whole wheat pancake mix, and a milk warning on sour cream? Are people really that dumbbbbb?
Way to go! I' have to agree with Sara.. looks like nesting to me. Maybe you'll get so much done that you'll be able to kick up your heels and relax the last few weeks!
Grace, for the record, I am only keeping certain very special clothes that the boys wore a lot or I especially loved...or QM bought that were smocked...things for my grandbabies. And that's
a small amount (maybe 2-3 peices per size if that). I hadn't gotten rid of any baby things yet as we were not finished having babies and I didn't want to buy new when I already had it. Now that we know Bitsy's a girl, I can purge.
Oh, and as a reward for my industriousness, HOUSE IS ON TONIGHT!!!! You can have your AI, it ends at 8. I am happy as a lark!
Maybe I'll actually get to rest the last month of my pregnancy...Yeah, right!
Everything looks great!! Now where are my ric crispy treats?
Well, all I can say is that you have remarkably perfect children if your cleaning and sorting was done so soon! Last year I cleaned the Middle Pig's room and it took THIRTEEN HOURS! And that's not counting the 6 hours the oldest Pig spent in helping me. I'm still self-medicating.
I know why there are obvious/ridiculous labels on foods! Jessica Simpson. Remember "chicken of the sea"? I'm sure she isn't the only one out there.
Nuff said.
;)
geeze girl..did you just change your energizer batteries? It looks great sweety..
