Long Day...

This is where I've spent most of my day. I do not have a good excuse for my total lack of motivation today, so I'll just say, I'm busy growing a human being. That should be reason enough don't you think? It isn't that there's nothing to do, it's just that I don't feel like doing anything. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

And because I feel like being lazy, this is what my living room looks like...and that's after I took down the card table and blankets that were forming the cave my wild ones have been living in today. I had gone in to take a nap, when Husband and a procession of shorter Husband like creatures came tromping into my room, invaded the closet, and tromped back out. When I emerged from my slumber (mostly I laid in bed and listened to the screams of delight and anger from the living room), I found the clan of the cave people holding court in front of my couch.

Now, BabyGirl is in her room belting out "Beautiful" by James Blunt, boys are watching Blue's Clues, I'm trying to convince myself that I like folding clothes, & B.B. is doling out apple slices like a king handing out favors from his throne.

And what, you might ask, did Husband give me for Valentine's Day to rival last year's XM Radio subscription? Ice. At least that's what he claims. I sent him a card this morning by way of B.B. (as he claims to never want anything...but I cannot forgo the card). A sweet thing that read, "Some women need roses, a bottle of wine, and a box of chocolates to feel romantic...I just need you." He came out of the room he was sippy cup hunting in, gave me a hug and kiss, and said, "I got you ice." Romantic isn't he? Although I do not think he can really take credit for the winter storm that has hit the mid west this week...besides, I don't like ice...but I'm trying not to be ungrateful. After all, I did get a nap.
