Fire Update

I saw Uncle Gick and Unkie Di tonight. They're both tired and worn out, but doing OK. Unkie Di had spent the entire day cleaning out the camper and washing the bedding from it. I asked if the smoke was bad in the camper and she said yes, the entire barn had been full of smoke last night. Uncle Gick had been putting the hose in the barn at night to keep it from freezing. If he hadn't, the entire barn would have been in flames before the fire department got there. As it stands they're going to have to replace most of the wood (wall supports, wood surround, and some ceiling beams) in that corner. But it still amazes me how much God took care of them...if any one thing had been different, this could have been disastrous instead of just a lousy thing. It was bitter cold last night, but Uncle Gick said he didn't feel a thing.
