10 Random Thoughts

#1) After watching an episode of CSI I cringe. What kind of fibers/hairs/bodily fluids would they find in my home if it were suddenly a crime scene? Yuck!

#2) Can you overdose on Pork Chops?

#3) How many blogs read daily are too many?

#4) What is the fascination with AI? I'm sorry folks, but I'm a little peeved right now. I've never hopped on this band wagon & now I am seriously missing House. Forget Simon...I want to see a sarcastic, limping, drugged out physician. (I realize that this is my problem alone since AI is one of the highest rated show on TV, but it just isn't my thing.)

#5) "Once you get the revelation of what awesome blessings your children are you begin to start appreciating them and treating them like great gifts instead of burdens, they respond to that and become even more of a blessing." This was sent to me by a friend from the church I went to in High School. She is the mother of 7 (I think), and an amazing person. I really needed to hear that as things have been a little tough around here lately (I know I'm not the only one in this boat, so I thought I'd share). I try not to treat them like burdens, but I know I do at times. This being a mom business is tough. I wish people would accept that and quit acting like a mother is never allowed to be sick and tired of dealing with mommy things.

#6) Has anyone seen Lightning McQueen or Buzz Lightyear lately? They are both AWOL and my boys are not happy. Maybe I should make up Wanted posters...

#7) Having Bitsy is going to get me out of teaching the pre-school class at VBS this year!! Now before you are all shocked, I've taught it for the last 3 years and have decided it's more of a 2 hour daycare at night than an actual class. My class consisted of 11-14 two & three year olds last year. When 2 of them are your own, it's a little tough to teach, much less enjoy...not to mention that most of these kids were just there to play and be out of mom's hair for a few hours (which I have no problem with if Mom is helping out at VBS). I think I need a year away...maybe by next year I'll be happier to be there. Then again, maybe I'll volunteer to teach the Jr. High girls instead...

#8) I may have eaten too many Sweet Tart Jelly Beans in retaliation for my fruitless fritter.

#9) I have to make my dress for Did's wedding. I haven't bought the fabric yet...and I've never set a zipper in my life. What was I thinking?! But where else am I going to get a solid purple, tea length, semi-formal maternity dress?

#10) I really have nothing left to say right now...but 10 seemed like it needed to be here.

Hi! I think it is impossible to overdose on pork chops - especially if you put a little lemon & thyme on them - that's the saver. And blog reading ? I am trying not to think how long I spend reading and writing. What you don't think about can't hurt you ?! And I liked your friends piece about being a mum. I think we all try so hard to be perfect and happy all the time and that is just not normal. But it is easy to start thinking of them as a burden when really they are what makes life worthwhile. As you said the other day though, the feeling of a little warm body snuggled up next to you is very special.S

Yes, I've often wonderded what would be found if those CSI people came into my home and sprayed their magic spray stuff. All three of my children get bloody noses. At one point in his life, D.K. got at least two or three a day. Prophet got one in the middle of the night one time that required him climbing down out of his bed and coming to our bedroom. This meant that his entire bed, pillow, bunk rail, and ladder were covered with bloody hand prints... and then there were drops of blood all the way to our bedside and a handprint on my pillow. It was a very gruesome scene!!

Ya know, I am a fan of "House" too! BUT, I'm one of those nutso people who watch American Idol three nights a week during the first four months of the year. My name is Grace and I'm an Idolholic!

I am still giggling over this random list. And to answer your questions:

Blog reading is like anything else, you can never have too much. ; )

Pork chops, like cheese, are your friends, embrace them.

As for the AI thing. I live with an addict, even Methadone can't help him. I have no explanation, except that we do love our music.

As for the toys, check the fridge. I found my keys there once.

That's all I got, except, lay off the Sweet Tart Jelly Beans or you'll never want them again.

I confess. I love American Idol. I do. And it's because I love music and am a really not sensational singer. I just get amazed seeing the road these people go on.

Oh, and I love when the judges get snarky... and you know, gotta love Randy "It was just a'ight for me, dawg" Jackson.

1) I wouldn't want them touching my house. That would jack their ratings through my roof.

2) If you overdose on Pork Chops-Can I have them? I love my homemade breaded porkchops.

3) I read blogfamily blogs sometimes more than 2x per day. I would consider it a really good non fiction.

4) I don't watch AI, don't know what the fascination is. Can't stand the bickering, and snide comments.

5) My daddy keeps telling me that my children are a blessing, and I say come get them and let them be his.

6) you didn't hear? buzz hitched a ride on lightening and he drove to my place. I'm sending them up to inkling. (LOL..j/k)

7)Jr High girls? Lets just go from the frying pan into the fire. You are one brave soul.

8) Send them to me please..I'll figure out how many points they are and eat, eat, eat them.

9) I tried to do a search on that, your blog camed up..Ha ha...
