Just as Lauren is going through a hard time right now, so are friends of my family. Jr. and his wife, Jill were married last winter (I think). Jill is 7 months pregnant with her second child, the couple's first. They were on vacation in Gatlinburg, Tn when Jill began contracting. The contractions were coming quickly (some seconds apart) and they headed to the hospital. The hospital worked to get her contractions slowed down & they are now about 30 minutes apart. Jr. & Jill are headed home. They live in North Western Indiana & therefore have quite a trip. Please pray that they would make it home without complications & that Jill's labor would stop as she needs to carry the baby for 2 more months.
With all that is going on, I feel very fortunate to have been trouble free in my pregnancies. I know we had scares with the babies health at times, but none with the pregnancies them selves. I have another acquaintance in TN who is pregnant with her third child. We went to the same church growing up (as did Lauren & Zann). In all 3 of her pregnancies, Rebecca has suffered from unbelievable nausea and vomiting. She has gone months without being well. I believe she's been hospitalized to get fluids in her with at least the first baby. She is nauseous 24 hours a day for the first 6+ months of her pregnancies. Then she goes into labor months early. At this point her nausea has lessened and is mainly a problem in the morning. She has not begun to dilate yet, but is beginning to efface and her cervix is thinning. I'm not sure how far along she is, but I think she has more than a month left to go.
At this point I'm thanking the Lord for the ease of my pregnancies, and I'm trying to enjoy the flutters that are growing stronger daily. Please pray for these women who are struggling through theirs. And if you think about us on Thursday, pray that my ultrasound would go smoothly.

I'm praying like a mad woman. I can't wait to hear your news..counting the days. You are in my thoughts.

THANK YOU for your prayers. Right now I'm thinking I may have alarmed everyone for no reason... I'll know for sure when I get a phone call this afternoon with my blood test results.
Lauren, I'd rather you alarm us for "nothing" and get the prayers you need than keeping quiet, and suffering alone.
Ang, Thank you so much. That's what is needed most.
praying for Jill and her baby... and Rebecca. I haven't heard an update in a while... my pregnancy was hard with Hannah, but nothing compared to what she's gone through. And she may even be tinier than you, so she really can't afford to get so sick!!!
I understand hard pregnancies better than most unfortunately. Even with four pregnancies, I've never gone to term. I'm praying!!
