Houston, We have sleep

Last night I slept. From midnight to 6:45 am. Almost solid...well, for me anyway. I woke up twice to get a drink, but went right back to sleep. Yippee!

The cough is back this morning, but it's more "productive." Yesterday it was dry and irritating and made my ribs hurt. Today it's just annoying.

I think I'm going to make pancakes and try to get my brood to church this morning. That will only make the second time since New Year...hope it goes well.

****************
Well, some of us made it anyway. BabyGirl, B.B. and I made it to church, Husband and #1 Son stayed home. #1 Son's eyes were a little puffy and his lids were red, so we put his eye drops in and kept him home just in case.
Now I'm freezing and waiting for the Shake 'n' Bake to cook. I love me some Shake 'n' Bake. Think I'll have a baked potato with butter and sour cream and some green beans to go with it. I'm hungry!
The sermon at church today was on patience. "Patience is riding out the gale." I don't remember who said it, there were quite a few quotes today. I loved that one. I need patience... I've had none lately. The sermon was appropriate for me today.
It's suddenly turned cold around here. It's 26 outside right now...normal for this time of year, but the weather has been so mild, that this seems shockingly cold. I can't get warm. I'm wearing sweat pants, my robe, socks, and slippers, and I'm still freezing! We may have to build a fire in the fire place today.
Hope you all are keeping warm and well today!

I'm glad you were able to make it out of the house today. It sounded like not only were you ailing but you were also getting Cabin Fever.

We need something to keep us motivated during the cold weather...a contest or something. I'll put my thinking cap on.
