Hangin' In Here

BabyGirl is feeling better...a little. Her eyes aren't quite as red. Her temp is only 99.8 (down from yesterday's 101.4). She's talking and drinking her milk. She's consented to allow me to put in her eye drops (they hurt like the devil and I feel so bad for her). I'm just glad we only have 6 doses of eye drops left. I don't think I'm going to send her to school until we're done with the drops. The ER nurse said she could go back 24 hours after the antibiotic, but I think that's pushing it.

#1 Son's eye lid is swollen this morning. This concerns me. I do not want another case of pink eye. As of now, there is no sign of red in the eye, but I'm watching him like a hawk!

I spent a good portion of last night in tears. I was writing down BabyGirl's med times (it's a little hard to keep track of) and pretty well lost it. At 5 years old, she should not have to take an antibiotic, eye drops, prescription decongestant, and fever reducer every 4-6 hours. I shouldn't have a list of temps and time for her. I shouldn't have suppositories in the cabinet just in case. It breaks my heart. I'm coping a bit better this morning, but am still unhappy about it.

In related news, I'm going to set up an appointment with an ear, nose and throat doctor this week to discuss ear tubes for her. Please pray for us. Husband and I are worried about general anaesthesia, but we can't let this go on. I know it's a very common and simple procedure, but it is frightening none the less.

Hang in there and here's hoping a trip to the doctor will mean some good news and relief.

Hang in there! Just a few weeks ago Yin was sick like this as at 2 years old it is a matter on sitting on top of her to get her to take meds.

I am praying for you guys. We were scared when Yin had her surgery, but by that time Yuri had had his club feet done and had to be circumsized at 3(had some problems). If you EVER need to talk give me a call, we are in the book or Needles has our number!

Hang in there!

I know it seems scary but it will be alright. I was sick nearly constantly with strep and ear infections until the age of 5 when my parents consented to have my tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put in my ears. I can honestly say I haven't had strep since and very few ear problems since. Before the surgery my eardrums burst several times and at times I was completely deaf. I know God helped my parents with the hard decision and He will help you. I love you and am praying for you and your babies.

I had tubes when I was little. I hated wearing swimming caps more than having the actual tubes put in! But I bet they make cuter swim caps these days....

Praying she gets better!

I am saying prayers for you. Please don't stress. I know easier said than done. I pray you find answers to questions you seek.

Yin has some little plastic things to put in her ears for water. So no swim cap. We used them at the beginning, but really she does not put her head underwater so no problems there.

My son uses these and he had tubes for 9 years. He still uses them. It keeps the water out when he's swimmin, showers, baths
