I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get here, but after we came home total exhaustion set in and it was all I could do to scrounge up some lunch for Husband to take to work and crash on the couch.
For the record, there is only one baby. I must say I'm relieved. The thought of twins was exhausting. Baby Girl was a little on the disappointed side, but she's still excited to "see" the baby.
Baby was very busy during the ultrasound. Squirming, and wiggling, and swimming all around. Didn't want to stretch out enough to be measured properly, so the pregnancy was dated at 9 weeks and 5 days instead of 10 weeks and one day (BTW, if you haven't seen it, my pregnancy ticker is at the bottom of this page...way at the bottom). The tech said she couldn't get an accurate measurement because Baby was all curled up. Baby's heart beat was 171 bpm...if you ask my MIL, that means we're definitely having a girl. Only 6 more weeks until we can find out!
B.B. has finally decided that a "new baby" is in my belly and not H.T. I guess since we saw H.T. for the first (and only) time the weekend I found out I was pregnant, B.B. figured the baby I was having was H.T. He's also been telling us that H.T. pooped in his (B.B.'s) diapers. Princess didn't know just how amazing her son is until he began pooping 250 miles away from home.
I have another doctor's appointment on the 12th. Doc thinks a month between appointments is too long. I agree. He usually sees me every 3 weeks for the first 6 months and then every 2 weeks, but he wanted to see me earlier this time because of my ultrasound and some new test they offer to check for Down Syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities. I think we're going to skip it, Doc said it was our choice.
I need to pick up a little around here just to keep on top of things, and then I think I'll crash out on the couch again. Thursday night is Baby Girl's Christmas program. We can buy the DVD for $5. She keeps telling everyone that she's going to be on T.V. That's my girl!

Congrats!!! I have to agree I think it is a girl usually... 145 and over girl 135 to 145 ??? 145 and under boy.
That system has held pretty true for most of the people I know.
Glad that you are back! Go and take a rest!
Whew! You've had quite a day. You surely deserve a rest...do the kids let you do that?
welcome home!
relieved for you... while twins are double the fun, they are double everything else. my mom was born in between 2 sets of fraternal twins, so when we had our first ultrasound with baby bear, we wanted to know how many, too.
get some rest!
Welcome home and glad it went well. Having a baby is a lot of work, you deserve a rest, so take one.
