First Christmas Gift of the Year

This is my Christmas present from Uncle E and Aunt C. We have a cousin who runs a little flower & gift shop out of a refurbished shed on her farm. They had gone in to check out her shop when they found a pillow with a snowman holding a broom stitched on it. It said "The perfect man. Cool, well rounded, and handy with a broom." They picked it up thinking of me, but cousin said, "Oh no, I have one that screams Farm Wife!" And this was what she showed them. I love it! Aunt C wanted to wait until Christmas to give it to me, Uncle E thought it'd get lost before then. He thinks I should start making pillows like this to sell to cousin for her shop. Hers are "hand made in China." Mine could say, "hand made on the funny farm."

As of now, I am officially grounding myself from the computer/T.V./books until I get this house cleaned.

1. Dishes washed, including pots and pans that won't fit in the dish washer.
2. Laundry washed, dried, folded, and put away...including the stuff that gets hung up (probably my biggest laundry issue).
3. Toys all put away (maybe I can enlist some help).
4. Bathrooms scrubbed.
5. Floors vacuumed.
6. All the accumulated junk setting on my book shelf and entertainment center put away.

Then maybe I can start with the Christmas decorations. I usually put up the tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Last year I discovered that by Christmas I was sick to death of yelling, "Get out of that tree!!! Put that ornament back!!! Don't unplug the lights!!!" So this year I've put it off for a few weeks. I'm trying to make myself wait until this weekend. We'll see how well I hold out.

BTW, my ultrasound is tomorrow at 11. Yikes!
