It's another girl!

Things are coming together for Princess & Axl's baby shower (wich my mom- Queen Mother- refers to as the baby's party). We have a venue (an old car dealership), we have invite art (I'll try to post it when it's all done), and we're working on some rockin' ideas (tatoos anyone?). I can't wait!

In new news: I'm a new mother again. To a 7 month old wire haired fox terrrier named Miss Lilly May. She's a doll. Husband found and got her for me yesterday. She's nearly full grown and stands maybe 15 inches at the shoulder (If that).

I wanted to name her Asta after the Aredale Terrier from the old Thin Man movies. She looks like a mini version of him. But when I told Baby Girl that I liked the name Asta she piped in, "And we can call her Ass for short!" That's when I decided to call her Lilly insteac.

So far she hasn't made a peep. She bounces around and loves on everyone, but she's the quietest dog I've ever met...and no shedding! I'd better go. I have to check out grooming secrets for her. Thanks for all the shower ideas!

I am so loving the theme for this baby shower. Yes, tattoos are ever so fitting.

I've been racking my brain ever since you mentioned the shower. I so want to come up with ideas for it because it is such a creative theme.. but alas my thoughts have proved fruitless.

Congrats on the little Lilly. Wise decision on the name, you never want to name anything/anyone things that can be shortened badly. I've always thought Titian would be a neat name (pronounced Ti-shin, not Titan or Titi-an) it's the name of a famous Renaissance artist and one of my favorites.. but aside from the fact that it would be frequently mispronounced, think what it would get shortened to. It's really a shame.

After Lilly settles in, watch your kids around her since she may get bitey. She may be quiet now, but this breed can get snappy.

Can't wait to see the invite art and hear more about the shower. It all sounds like so much fun.

Good decision on the dog's name. (I remember Asta from The Thin Man, I loved that show!)
