Happy Early Birthday to Me!

Greetings from the farm. We've had a big day today. Baby Girl and #1 Son got new bikes. There's a factory outlet in town and we stopped by to check out their selection. We were just looking, but left with 2 bikes. $58 didn't seem like a bad deal for 2 bikes since they would have been $50 for one at Wally World.

#1 Son has a girl's bike (they were all out of little boy bikes), but he doesn't seem to care. It's shiny and has a bell. That seems to be all that matters. Baby Girl is getting the hang of hers. I'm so proud of her...oh, and she's learning to whistle...that's the piece of news she shares with every one we meet.

Mama and Daddy met us at Bob Evans Wednesday night for dinner. They were on their way to Grandma and Grandpa M&M's house 2 hours north of us. Grandpa was supposed to have a test run on Thursday, but the doctor had a family emergency and had to cancel. Oh, and tomorrow is Grandpa M&M's 80th birthday! So "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRANDPA! I LOVE YOU!"

While we were sitting at the table at Bob Evans, Daddy gave me a card and a gift bag. When I opened the box tucked into the bag, much to my surprise, I found a blue velvet jewelry box. I snapped the lid open to discover a strand of perfect small white pearls. I began to tear up when Daddy said, "Don't cry, 'cause then I will!" They're beautiful! My early birthday present.

Mama got me a beautiful purple glass bottle from Knoxville, TN. I believe it says "International Paste and Polish Company." She also gave me a tulip bud vase that hangs on the wall. Now I just need to get my tulips to grow!

At the store today Husband said, "Someone's having a birthday soon!" Meaning #1 Son. I said, "I am!" He said, "We're going to St.Louis! Happy Birthday...and Mother's Day!" He's so thoughtful! Can't really complain...after all, he did get me XM Radio!

Happy early... late... what day was it?! ... birthday!

I thought of you today. They were having a "Bottle show" at the fairgrounds up the road. If they didn't charge $4 to get in, I would have gone and taken pictures for you :).

Happy Birthday, FW!

Miss your daily posts so much, but it's good that you can fill us in occasionally!

Whistling is a major thing for kids...right up there with snapping their fingers. Tell Baby Girl congratulations for me.
